We are usually given a theme. Last week was something yellow, so he brought in his play construction hat. We get a theme each week from the teacher which helps but we are pretty lame in what she takes. The themes are based around the letter or number they are working on that week. My son had show and tell last year too. It wasn't every week. One child would go each week. Most of the items brought in were toys. On his first go, I suggested his lovey. After that, he started suggesting things on his own. That's crazy! </p> <p>Hmm, do you have any pets? She could take a pet to school! Or a favourite toy. Or how about a memento from a recent holiday - then she can talk about the holiday. </p> <p>You could take her on a trip at the weekend - to a petting zoo, perhaps, or an aquarium - and she can pick something from the gift shop to take into school the following Friday to facilitate talking about what she learned? </p> <p>You could do some crafts with her the weekend before - say paper mache or a macaroni picture - and she could take in what she made and tell everybody how to make it. </p> <p>Ooh, you could make cookies together and then she could take some in (you might have to bake some fresh ones the night before!), let everybody try one, and tell them how to bake cookies! </p> <p>This is so much fun!
