I usually switch it up with whatever I have on had but here are just a few things I've given to LO for bfast (on top of formula):

organic blueberry waffle
apple sauce
cheerios
oatmeal with cinnamon and banana (this is usually mine but LO eyes it whenever I eat it so I give him some)
yogurt
blueberries or strawberries
whole wheat toast cut into strips

Every single morning RJ has scrambled eggs, yogurt, banana, and milk. Most mornings he eats all the yogurt and a some of everything else.

It kind of varies from day to day but usually we'll do:

cold cereal (cheerios + rice krispies in milk with fruit)
oatmeal with fruit
quesadilla strips
grilled cheese strips
french toast strips
scrambled eggs with ketchup dip
omelet with cheese & some steamed veggies
pancakes with a tiny bit of syrup dip
waffles with syrup dip

He's a pretty good eater so he just eats whatever my DH an I are having for breakfast.

@chopsuey119: Yeah, try the finger foods... we will also find that if we stick a bunch of stuff on his tray and then kind of ignore him, he'll alternate touching his food and playing with the feel of the food, with actually eating it, long after he would have stopped eating if we're feeding him. Like maybe he needs little pauses between bites sometimes in order to keep going. So maybe try that too?

@Lozza: I usually feed her.. pop things into her mouth. Will let her feed herself and see how that goes! Thanks.
@anbanan15: LO is 11 months old TODAY! :D

Thanks for all the suggestions, ladies!

@chopsuey119: Were you feeding those things to her, or was she feeding them to herself? Sometimes we have an easier time getting LO to eat finger foods because he's so into picking things up and putting them in his mouth right now.

A typical breakfast for LO (almost 11 months) is some fruit (banana, apple, pear, etc.), some dairy (yogurt or cottage cheese) and some carbs (waffle or wheat toast). Sometimes he gets veggie soup or meatballs or whatever leftovers we have.

One thing that he'll always eat that I like because it packs a good amount of calories and protein is a fruit shake. I'll use frozen berries, maybe throw in a banana, add some yogurt, and add a ton of silken tofu. Blend it all up, and LO will eat a ton of it.

How old are your LO's? I feel like we are so far behind on solids for his age!

At 10 months DS basically only gets breastmilk. If we are trialing a new food he'll get his allotted dose in the AM in case we have a reaction. Today it was one baby spoonful of broccoli...yum!

At 9 months, my son only had oatmeal and fruit. He had 2 teeth at the time, so there wasn't much I could give him.

Now, though, he can chew relatively well, he eats scrambled eggs with a bit of cream cheese and spinach, cheerios soaked in milk, whole wheat muffins, chicken sausages, pancakes.

Breakfast isn't the problem, it's dinner where I struggle with variety.

What does she like to eat other times of the day? Maybe just add another meal of those types of food. Remember, just because it's breakfast doesn't mean you have to eat a certain type of food!
My husband gets annoyed with the amount of sugary/bready foods that are considered "breakfast food" in America and will be pushing for our LO to eat veggies and protein, rather than things that are traditionally thought of as breakfasty.

She eats pears. Soon I'll mix it with rice cereal- I just haven't had a chance to make it yet because it involves the magic bullet which really freaks her out so I have to do it while hubby is home.

Lo used to have yogurt, some banana and a breakfast meat for breakfast. Now she won't any of those items..
I think it's a texture thing?
I'm running out of ideas.
