We listen to Klove and now they try to sing every song. Luckily they like what I listen to.

My son has started requesting Tony Lucca's "Devil Town" because I told him it's my favourite song. We alternate between that and the theme from Thomas.

We love "Truck Tunes" by TwentyTrucks (Rob Gardner). The songs are hilarious and catchy. Can be found on Spotify. There are also 3 other albums on their website. Bonus: when you're ready for him to watch videos, they are all videos on YouTube.

Also:

Here Come the ABCs - They Might Be Giants
Here Come the 123s - ditto
Elizabeth Mitchell - generally more mellow, though

@KT326: Ditto! I honestly never listen to kids music ever because it drives me insane. Plus, my 3 year old and almost 1 year boys have an annoying habit of seeing who can scream the loudest in the car with the most ear-piercing scream you can imagine, so you better believe I listen to what I want in the car.

We listen to Little Bear episodes in the car. They do a pretty good job of narrating what's happening (I hook my phone up to the car's system, which is why she isn't allowed to hold and watch it), and there are enough episodes that I can switch it up.

We stream Disney Pandora a LOT- it doesn't drive me extremely crazy since there is a huge variety of songs and I still remember all the words from when I was a kid. DD also loves Laurie Berkner songs, which are pretty funny. She is also learning about taking turns by sharing the radio time with Mommy so she can listen to songs for part of the day and then she has to let me listen to NPR sometimes. She does enjoy the intro song for Diane Rehm hahaha (but not the content of the show).

D actually likes Elton John. Benny and the Jets, in particular. But he also likes Rocketman and Crocodile Rock. I try to pick songs that I think he'll think are silly (like the "buh-buh-buh-benny..."). He was on a Beastie Boys" Intergalactic" kick for a while - liked it because of the robot!

I'm probably a mean mom but he has to listen to whatever I have on. There have been a few times he has said he doesn't like a song but I tell him that's ok, it will be over soon.

My LO doesn't care as long as something is on. We used to listen to one CD for 6 months and when I stopped (because it was driving me nuts), he asked for it a few times but I just told him the CD wasn't in the car and we were listening to my music instead. It took a few days for him to stop asking but now we can pretty much listen to anything without him complaining.

I feel your pain. My kid insisted on wheels on the bus over and over for several months. I thought I would lose it.

We all seem to be ok with things like the Beatles, and I actually find Caspar Babypants hilarious.

For the first 10 months of Es life he was perfectly happy to listen to NPR in the car with me. For the past few months he is growing more vocal about his preferences. He loves radio pop music, and will whine until his beloved chain smokers or Rihanna or the SAME10SONGSTHATPLAYONEVERYSTATION24/7 comes on.
I'm going to go crazy if I hear "cold water" one more time. The problem is, he doesn't like my selection of music, he really likes things with a strong beat and a drop, hence the radio pop. I feel I would grow equally crazy with "kids music" (wheels on the bus comes to mind)

So is there anything you and your LO both like? Or does everyone just suck it up?
