LO surprised me when she was about 3 or 4 and said she wanted to be a mom. I didn't realize this was a 'thing' with this age group. She only went through the teacher phase very briefly because she wasn't totally thrilled with her four year class experience. This year I asked her why she doesn't want to be a teacher - she said, Teachers have to give too many reminders. She said she wants to be a pet engineer, a rock star, a vet and/or a hair stylist. But sometimes she said she is not ready to decide yet and will decide in college. LOL.
