ALWAYS hand-me-downs! They do arts and crafts every single day and go outside twice a day unless it's dangerously icy or pouring. So he always comes home COMPLETELY dirty (even though they do a great job of cleaning him off). We are lucky to have a great source of hand-me-downs from Wagon Sr.'s cousin whose kids went to daycare as well, so we have a million t-shirts (long and short sleeved), pants, shorts, etc. to choose from. That way all his nice clothes that we buy or get as gifts we can save for the weekend.

We're planning on sending her in comfortable, easy outfits when she's under a year. Once she gets to be a little older and moves rooms, she'll probably go in pants and shirts unless it's hot and then play dresses. I can't imagine sending a LO to daycare in tights, dresses and bows! If she's anything like me, she'll come home with holes in the tights and stains on the dresses. :)

when my DD was an infant in daycare, she was mostly in Carter's outfits. Cute, but comfy!

Definitely casual. When she was between 3-6 months and just laying around I often sent her in sleepers. Now that shes crawling its usually a onesie and pants or a romper like outfit. I do like for her to have on long sleeves and pants since she often kicks off her socks.

Now that it's warm, LO wears a lot of dresses. She has a closet full of them (Carters, Childrens Place mostly) that have been gifted. I have to take every opportunity for her to wear these clothes before she grows out of them. During the winter it was primarily bodysuit and knit pants.

Occassionally she will wear a fancy dress, but I always have at least two changes of clothes with her and have made it clear that if they don't want to deal with a fussy outfit, they are welcome to change her.

Casual as well. I'll put her in a dress if it's a casual one, not party style. But mostly I dress her in a shirt with leggings/jeans. The LO always seems to get messy from arts and crafts so I wouldn't put her in anything that can't be ruined.

Casual, but then I only shop at Carter's so it's not like she's wear a $50 outfit anyway.LOL I barely put in a bow since her hair is kinda short and it takes too much for it to stay in.

Casual and comfy. Tshirts and leggings or track pants. LO is not quite 11 months so most days wears a bodysuit and leggings or shorts.

My LO is starting daycare in a couple of weeks..

I dropped off some forms today and I was surprised how dressy some of the infants were dressed..Baby Gap party dresses, tights, bows, etc!

Do you send your LO to daycare in casual play wear or in more fashionable outfits?
