@Boheme: @hilsy85: @mdf106: @sorrycharlie: Thanks ladies! Sounds like it might be safe to dress them pretty warmly and strip off the hats, blankets, etc. if they get warm!

I took LO to a pumpkin spectacular last year right around 12-13 months and wore her in the ergo. It was RI so maybe 50s-low 60s at night? I had her in a hat, onesie and footed sleeper and coat I think (hard to remember!) and I do remember getting home and when I changed her, her feet were like ice! I felt so badly. I even had a blanket wrapped around her and tucked into my north face fleece. So just be aware of that - I never would've thought of it (and didn't, obv, lol)

At that age and temperature, a normal outfit (pants and long sleeved onesie), hat, and booties. I would remove the hat if he seemed hot. I bought mittens and I never used them.

Are you using the infant insert in the ergo or no?

Lo was SO hot in the infant insert that I just dressed him in an outfit (so a long sleeved onesie, footed pants) and put him in the infant insert. He stayed really warm, especially next to me. I did put a hat on, but didn't worry about his hands.

If you're not using the infant insert, I would maybe do a onesie under a fleece sleeper, with a hat? If you're wearing a jacket, you can tuck it around them in the ergo too.

My LO wears Slugs n Snails babywearing tights. They're like leggings with feet. I'm kind of obsessed with them. When it was that temp outside, I also put a thin fleece jacket on him, and a crocheted hat with ear flaps.

Now that the temperature is cooling off, I'm struggling to figure out what to dress my kids in when we are wearing them outside in the Ergos. It seems that our body heat keeps them pretty toasty, but I don't want to under dress them either. We are going to try taking them to a pumpkin festival some evening soon and it's been low 60s during the day, mid-50s by evening. I was contemplating putting them in fleece footie PJs so we don't need to track down dropped socks. But will they need a hat or mittens? Their little arms do hang out of the Ergos now so I feel like they might get cold. Any tips for how you dress your LOs when baby wearing? (They are 4 months btw)
