LO is 15 months typically sleeps from 830-7. She's never been one to sleep 12+ hours, and as she's gotten older, the total length of her nighttime sleep has decreased. I'm not sure if that's normal or not at such an early age, but I figure as long as she STTN and isn't waking too early, I won't worry (too much). If she wakes during the night, it's usually teething and we'll bring her to bed with us.

My LO is almost 2.5 years old

If she napped 2:30-5:30 then bedtime is 8:00. She usually rolls around and plays with her lovey for an hour before passing out. Most nights she will ask to go potty over the monitor and will pass out after using the potty. She's up around 7:30/8:00. I'm just glad she stays in her bed (she's in a full sized bed)

If she played in her bed during nap time i get her at 4:30 and everything is moved up by an hour and bedtime is at 7:00. She passes out right away and wakes up around 7:30 the next day.

She is just like DH...she loves to sleep. She has always loved to sleep and would go 12-14 hours around 4-5 months. She is a champ at STTN and I feel so lucky she's a good sleeper. I am so afraid that my next LO won't be a naturally good sleeper :-/

Both kids sleep through the night for the most part (2 1/2 and 4). Sometimes they wake up in the middle of the night and they both have floor beds, so we usually lie down next to them and they fall back asleep. But that also means that we usually fall asleep next to them!

If we let Charlie sleep in our bed, he always asks to sleep in our bed so it is much better to take him back to his room.

What amazing sleepers the babies of Hellobee are!

My almost two-year old goes to bed at 8 or 8:30, wakes up around 12-1 (I am usually still awake because I am working, so either DH or I will go in and rub her back, sing to her, etc. until she goes back down), and then up again around 5-6 a.m. This time DH gets up with her and falls asleep with her in the glider until 7 am (sometimes earlier) which is when she starts her day.

My four-month old puts herself to sleep really well, but can't stay asleep for some reason. She usually goes down at 8, and then is up at 12, 2, 4, and 6. I feed her sometimes at every feeding, sometimes not. She then sleeps in my bed from like 6 - 10 a.m. She really likes to sleep in.

This is an awesome thread. Makes me feel so normal to have wakeups and encouraged in that most kids older than a year seem to be sleeping well!
Mine goes down at 7:30, awake. Most of the time, just passes out, sometimes with a bit of whimpering. Once in a while it will take her 10 min to fall asleep. Lately she's been waking at 2 and 5 to nurse and up for the day at 7:45. And once in a while also wakes at 10:30 (teething, maybe)? But three weeks ago, she was up at 11, 2, 5, 6:30 and then I brought her to bed to get more sleep. I looooooove that's she's getting some good early morning sleep right now!

At 10.5 months, mine go down at 7, usually asleep within 10 mins with some crying in there. DD typically wakes once, between 3-4 to nurse, and then back down until 6:30 or 7. DS is a crappy sleeper and is still up 2-3x a night to nurse. We often pass out on the couch together, sideways nursing. We're actually starting sleep training again tonight bc I can't take it anymore!

My LO is 19 months old and she goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes up around 5am. I bring her to bed to nurse and she will usually go back to sleep right away and we'll sleep until 8.

The last 2 nights she has woken up at 1am. I'm not sure why... she is screaming so I think she's having a nightmare or something. Normally when she wakes up its just a whimper.

DD is 15 months and we're all over the place. 3 nights ago, she went to bed easily at 7:30 and was asleep until 8:30. last night, we were traveling at MIL's house and she was in the crib at 8, screamed bloody murder for 20 minutes after i went in there twice, so i had to nurse her again and then let her cry for another 10 minutes until she passed out. then she woke up at 5 screaming like a banshee. i nursed her because i don't feel like CIO at the moment (we ST'd at 12.5 months to night wean/STTN).

we're traveling next week for 10 days, so after that, we're STing again if needed!

My LO is 11 months old and has fortunately always been a great nighttime sleeper (let's not even talk about naps!) He goes to bed at 8 and wakes up at 7:30. He'll sleep later on DH's day off because his usual wake-up time is due to the sound of the garage door opening when DH leaves for work.

Occasionally I'll hear him wake up a bit in the middle of the night, but he falls back asleep fairly easily.

My LO is 9 months and has been constantly sick since starting daycare in January. She's never, ever slept through the night in her life. Her best night ever she just woke once.

Typically she goes to sleep at 7:30-8, then is up at 1-2, then anywhere from 3-5 am, then up for the day around 7.

But on a bad night, of which we have many, she's up every hour on the hour. Fun times!

22 months: in bed between 7:30-8pm, wakes at 6:30am, sometimes earlier.

5 years (in a few days): goes to bed between 7:30-8pm, wakes at 5am

Both occasionally wake after a bad dream or when they're sick.

@lawbee11: don't feel like a failure! The only thing I have learned about my LO's sleep is that nothing I do really matters. :bummed: 0 - 3 months she was an amazing night sleeper, but terrible napper, months 4 - 5 nighttime sleep and naps fell apart completely, and now at 6 months, we are just starting to bounce back. It's an emotional rollercoaster

DS is 3. He goes to bed around 8 and my husband wakes him up around 7:30am. Usually he sleeps all the way through. He has been really sick for almost a week though, so he has been waking up.

DD is 4.5 months. She goes to bed around 8 and usually wakes up between 11-12, 3, and 6 all to nurse, and is up around 8:30.

Son #1: woke up every 2-3 hours until at least 15 months when he started walking. It was rough, I was a zombie for the first 6 months, and ultimately the whole first year. Most nights he does great, but occasionally he wakes in the middle of the night.

Son #2: 1 month- Up and down for the evening quite a bit of nursing, last feeding around midnight, up at 4:30 for a feed and down until 7:30 am. He is A-mazing, I feel entirely different from the first time around!

Usually bed between 7:30-8 and wakes around 6:30-7. He's 23 months and hasn't woken up at night since around 9 months (unless he is sick). He did, however, sleep 7-5 or 7:30-5:30 for a very long time (til around 13 months).

He gets a bath, books, jammies and is put in his crib awake every night. He usually plays in his crib for 15 mins before falling asleep - same with morning, usually plays for 15 mins before asking to get up "Maaaaaamaaaa all done!"

DD is 15 mo. She goes to sleep between 7:15-7:30 pm. We change into her PJs after dinner and she plays for a bit - I try to keep her up as late as I can because my husband doesn't usually get home until 6:45-7:00. Around 7:00-7:15, DD starts getting klutzy and cranky. At some point, she will start waving and saying "bye-bye." That means, "please take me to bed now." Once in her room, she has a little routine where she gets her Wubanub, then walks over to her sound machine (and waits for me to turn it on) and then gets her sleep sack. We sing to her and lay her down and she usually tosses and turns 5-10 minutes before falling asleep.

Sometimes, maybe once a week, she will wake up fussing at the first sleep cycle transition (about 45 minutes after falling asleep), but she puts herself back to sleep.

DD wakes up around 6:45-7:00 am and tosses and turns for about 20 minutes. When she is ready to get up, she stands at the side of her crib and says, "up, up, UP!" until one of us comes to get her.

J is 7 months and not a good sleeper.
On a good night he goes in the crib awake at 7, normally when we go to bed at 9-10 he wakes up and I nurse him. He goes back to sleep until 12-2 and then he wakes up and nurses again I bring him to bed. He wakes between 4-5 to eat and is up for the day at 7-8. On a bad night which is about 1/2 the time he's up every 2-3 hours and so we cosleep so I can function.

Miss A is eighteen months and is an inconsistent sleeper. She's usually asleep in her cot between 1930 and 2000 and will wake anytime from 0030 to 0600 and we nurse then bedshare from when she wakes (love me some baby snuggles!). Her normal waking time is 0630-0730.

A is predominately nursed to sleep but does go down awake every few days although going down awake doesn't seem to eliminate the night wakings. Her daily sleep totals 12-13 hours usually.

G is 9 months and mostly STTN. She's in bed by 6:45-7pm every night, and either falls right asleep or cries for 30 seconds and passes out. :silly:

Lately, she's been teething, so there have been a couple sort-of wakeups? I've had to go in and comfort her once a night a few times this week, which is unusual. Usually, minus a few whines and grunts, she STTN from 7-5:30 or 6.

That's what really kills me. The darn 5:30am wakeup! GAH! Whyy can't my kid sleep til 7!

Since DST, DS has been doing bath time around 7/730 and asleep 730/8. Before he got sick last weekend, he was sleeping through 'til 830. With a few shuffled whines around 11pm, but usually self soothe back to to sleep after he gets comfortable again.

Last wknd he was sick with a fever/cold/cough and woke a few times a time, only wanting me to be there w him, poor baby :(

He slept 730-8 last night with no wakes, so I think the worst of the cold is over.

He's almost 17 months, and has been sleeping 12 hours since 3 months, outside of sickness/teething/travel/etc.

DS is a great sleeper. We have kind of a long bedtime routine and at this moment (15 months) it's about 50/50 whether he goes right down at the end or cries for about 5 minutes. He also rustles around for awhile as he tries to get comfortable. He moves a lot in his sleep, but very rarely wakes.

Last night he did wake up crying, I turned on monitor, watched for about a minute, thought about going down for another minutes, then he stopped and fell immediately back to sleep...he's teething canines right now and this usually doesn't happen.

He goes to bed between 7:30 and 8 and wakes around 7.

DD is 9 months.

On a typical night, we do her bedtime bathtime routine and put her down in her cot, awake, at around 6.45pm. She then thrashes about, rolling over and getting stuck, losing her dummy (paci) and crying for 10 minutes (maybe 3 visits back into her room) and then she falls asleep. We then have a short wake up approx 10pm (replace dummy), another at around 4am (replace dummy) and she's up for the day at 7am.

On a bad night - teething, poorly, being a punk - she can be up every half hour, rolling about or just crying for no reason. She also cries in her sleep! On nights like this, she often refuses the dummy. If you pick her up she gets really excited and tries to play. Then she wails when you put her down. We usually have one or two of these nights each week.

On a really (rare) great day, we do her bathtime, bedtime routine and she goes right through til 6am, maybe 7.

We've just had several weeks of awful nights because she was ill for 6 weeks but last night was a great day! She STTN!

For several weeks, DD would go to bed around 6:45, sleep one cycle, wake and nurse again, then pass out until 3:30/4. Then she would eat again and go right back to sleep until 7:15 or 7:30. It was totally manageable. NOW we're dealing with what I think is the 4-month regression and it's horrible. It takes up to two hours to get her into deep sleep (she wakes and cries every few minutes, and unfortunately she is an escalator...if we get to her quickly, she goes back to sleep but if we let her get worked up, it's Game Over). Then she wakes around midnight and it's all downhill from there. It's been a real challenge to get her back to sleep during the night, and she's wanted to be up around 5:30 or 6 but she's still super tired then. And she's been taking crappy naps, which compounds the situation. I'm so ready for this to be over!

DS is 8 months. I start the bedtime routine at 8:15, in bed 8:45-9. I just recently moved bedtime half an hour. Lo wakes up around 6:45-7 on a good day, 5:30-5:45 on a bad day. On good days he often wakes up at 5-6am, but puts himself back to sleep with a little fussing. If he hears us at all after 5 am, he won't go back down.

At 13 months, he sleeps from 8pm-7am with no wake ups. Or if he does, it is only for a minute or two. Then goes back on his own. At 6 months he was going down around 730 and waking up 2-3 times to nurse. Then up at 7am.
