Starting July 1, I'll have 2 at home with me -- 3.5 yr old and 6 week old. We'll be visiting my parents the first 10 days and I'm going to spend that time coming up with a plan. Library hour on Wednesdays, farmers market on Thursdays, splash pad when we can, bubbles and water play on the front step while baby naps, tons of mini crafts my 3.5 yo can do with minimal supervision, easy baking, and hot chocolate with marshmallows (her request for the summer!) should be interesting!

T was in daycare 2 mornings a week but is out until the end of August. The only scheduled activity is swimming 1 morning a week. We have story hour but I prefer doing something that takes more time. I like to do play dates or something outside of the house in the mornings. She still naps for 2 hours in the afternoons. Then we do something more low key that we can walk to after nap- the library, the park, the farmers market, the fruit stand or grocery store. I like to be home when DH is done working so afternoons I only have an hour or so when he's in town.

Now that LO1 is out of school I'm looking at our days and they are very open, I am attempting to get some structure going so we don't get bored. I know on Wednesday's we will go to the library and have story hour, as well as work on the summer reading challenge. Outside of that though, I'm stumped. A lot of our friends with kids work during the day so play dates are difficult. Activities like splash pads, zoo, beach etc I like to have an extra set of hands and that's hard to come by as well. We have lots of outdoor time but they get bored with that as well.
