We probably bundle up our LO more than most according to these replies, but we are in SoCal and she had always worn sleepers even when swaddled. We've had the heater set to 73-74 each night too. As it gets warmer, I can't see us putting her in less than a onesie still.

@MrsRoo: We keep our house around 70-72 during the summer. When we first brought LO home, it was still cold at night, which is why she was in sleepers. Now that it is getting warmer out, just going to try our different things to see what works for her. Every baby is different. You never know till they are here what works and doesn't.

We keep our house 70-74 in the summer. I always felt that if I was comfortable than LO was comfortable, since I'm not usually one that is too warm or too hot (unless I'm preggo). We would just 'feel' him and make sure he didn't feel too warm. :-) We used the light swaddler blankets too (a&a) so nothing too heavy.

@Smurfette: @LaurenEC:

So did you do a little experimenting at first to see what your LO was more comfortable in? I know that it's recommended that the nursery be between 68-72 degrees, so we will definitely have the a/c on, I just worry about not being able to tell if she's too hot or too cold. I'm a FTM, can you tell? :)

We live in NC and LO almost always wore a sleep 'n play and swaddle, but we always have the AC set relatively comfortably. If it was really really hot or we were visiting somewhere with no AC, we would do a onsie and the swaddle.

Sleeper and swaddled. Last night though we did long sleeves and pants no feet and she slept better. She never feels hot but maybe that is waking her up more.

Thanks, ladies! Good to know that with just a dipe and blanket she won't be too naked!

We did Halo Sleep Sacks (the only thing that would actually keep her snug and contained) and only a diaper underneath.

In warm weather when she was swaddled in an A&A wearing only her daiper. If it got a little cool we'd throw a onsie on under there too. She basically spent the first 3-4 weeks of her life swaddled in a diaper unless we left the house.

Especially for warm weather babies? I'm due the 25th and live in FL. We plan to swaddle, and have several A+A blankets, and a couple miracle blankets. But what should she be wearing under that? A short sleeved onesie? Sleep gowns? Sleep-n-plays? Something else?
