Naps around 12:30-2:30 (could be a half hour earlier or later depending on activities/fussiness/wakeup; she usually only sleeps about an hour and a half, but I try and have her spend two hours "resting" even if she's not sleeping)
Bedtime routine at 7pm and lights out at 7:30pm

@coopsmama: the transition period was hit and miss for us as far as a keeping to a regular schedule. I'd hate to miss summertime walks too! How does he transfer from place to place once he's asleep? Could you eat, jammie him up, then take a walk? If he falls asleep maybe he'd let you just plop him in bed and keep sleeping?

The transition is tough. At first, I let DD sleep for about 5-15 minutes minutes...basically a short car nap between 9-10am when we were heading on errands or to an activity. She would then still go down at 12:30ish for about 1 1/2 hours. Once she dropped the car nap and stated staying active all morning, the nap lengthened.

@coopsmama: I really think an early bedtime will help- and hopefully he will adjust quickly! You can play it by ear and see how it goes- but if he's a mess by 7, you def want to get him down prior to that point, and I'm sure an evening walk wouldnt even be fun with a tired, cranky kid :silly:

wake up around 7-7:30, nap around 12:30, up at 3ish. then bedtime at 7:30. we had to leave the house in the mornings for the transition because she would easily go down for the morning nap, but refuse the afternoon nap, so i had to keep her busy to stay up until early afternoon.

Wake up 7:15-ish
Nap sometime between noon and 1:00, depending on when the eye rubbing starts
Nap 2.5-3.5 hours
Bedtime at 7:30

What got us through the transition was leaving the house around DD's morning nap time. Not in the car or the stroller, because then she would just fall asleep. But as long as we/the nanny kept her active until about noon, she was fine. As soon as she started acting tired in the mornings, we would head to the park.

This is so helpful! Thank you very much. I'm now thinking that @NovBaby1112: and @hilsy85: are right about an earlier bedtime. I just need to bite the bullet and do it even though that would mean the end of evening summer walks....sigh! :( haha. Hopefully he is able to adjust before summer is over so we can still get a few in when DH gets home.

LO wakes up between 5:30-6:30, and naps beginning anywhere from 12:30-1:30 (essentially 7 hours after she wakes up). She sleeps for almost 2 hours, and goes to bed around 7.

Like @autumnlove: she will sometimes take a catnap around 9-10ish, just depends on the day.

LO wakes up around 6:30/7am generally
Nap is from 12:30-2:30 give or take a half hour
Bedtime is 7/7:30pm

I agree with @hilsy85 about the early bedtime during the transition until he adjusts. 6pm bedtime if he's napping around 10:30am.

Wake between 7 or 7:30, nap at 1, bedtime between 7 or 7:30.

Schedule is usually the same for my 14 month old and 2.5 yr old. Sometimes (1-2x a week) the 14 month old takes a catnap around 10am.

LO wakes up between 6 and 630
Nap is between 11 and 1130, he wakes up anywhere from 1-130 usually--I try to keep him in his crib for at least 2 hours, even if he wakes up sooner
bedtime is between 7 and 730

When we first did the 1 nap transition, we often only got 1.5 hours naps, and he often couldn't make it past 1030 or so. So he was up anywhere between 12 and 1230! I would really recommend doing an earlier bedtime while you're in this transition. It's not going to last forever (my LO can now go from 1-7 no problem) and he will be happier with an earlier bedtime I bet!

My son is now a one year old as of today! Ahhh! For the last several weeks it has been a challenge to get him to take 2 naps. He usually wants a nap by 10:30 but at that point, if he naps, he will nap until 1 or so and then be absolutely a wreck by dinner time because there isn't enough time to squeeze in a second nap. We've tried, but again, he's just not tired and is wide awake and cheerful until 5 or so when it all goes downhill. We aim for a 7pm bedtime which works best for our/DH's schedule.

Anyway, all that to say -- I'm curious to see what is working for other people who are on a one nap schedule? What time is your LO napping and what time is bedtime? :)
