@BKCaribBaby: were there grandmas around? My mom told me she was going to share a piece of cake with my lo Thursday and promised she'd only give her a couple of bites. My spies told me she got a lot more than just a couple.....

Thanks, everyone. Since I am nowhere close to that I try not think anything about anything. I always feel weird thinking anything negative because I'm just not there yet.

We used to allow Charlie to eat crackers and stuff, but now we've cracked down on that! Very little sugar in his diet now...

My LO is almost 16 months and the most sugary thing she gets is diluted apple juice.

Sometimes, I'll let them eat more sugary items in group settings when other kids are having it also. At home, we try not to.

Sugary as in dessert? DD only gets those things at bday parties and holidays. Otherwise, we mainly give her fruits, veg, and meat. I limit the other carbs. Your toddler will eat what you allow them to eat!

Hmmm. Depends on the family? My son doesn't eat a lot of sugary foods. He eats alot of cheese, fruit and yogurt. He's 2.5 and has never had chocolate or a popsicle or a lollipop. poor kid!

Ok. I don't even have a baby yet (pregnant), but I just wonder about things. I've been observing some of the toddlers visiting us this week and noticed that they eat a lot of sugary foods. Is this common for toddlers, or is this just the people I am seeing?
