We really like the replay plates too. Once we landed on that type we bought a bunch so they'd stack. But in the last few days we decided to just use regular plates and bowls for him. It's been a really long time since he was in the throwing plate stage.

Happy mat or high chair tray. I have some munchkin suction cup bowls that I have started using too. I do find it annoying to wash the happy mat and high chair tray, but so much food gets thrown on the floor I can't handle plates too.

@Tanjowen: We use the Replay ones as well - I love them! We also use their open cups and I'm debating buying some non-divided plates for things like pizza and sandwiches (DD has recently started asking to use what she calls "be careful plates" (meaning our regular, breakable plates). I guess that's what she always remembers me saying when I give her one, ha!

Plastic bowls and plates from Target, but not the divided ones. I don't want to encourage him getting picky about food touching (which is currently not an issue).

I alternative between a happy mat lookalike (silicandy) and regular dishes but I like serving her food in a bowl more often than on a plate since she's still mastering utensils I think it's easier for her.

We use the plastic divided plates from Target- they are super duper cheap so I don't care if she scratches them with her silverware. She thinks it's fun that she can have a different thing in every little compartment.

http://www.target.com/p/little-kid-s-round-divided-plate-7-3in-plastic-pink-taffy-pillowfort/-/A-50885402

I have an easy to wipe placemat under her plate and I put a tablecloth under the placemat so if she makes an enormous mess I can just toss that in the wash rather than scrub down the whole table.

We use the plastic plates, cups, utensils from ikea. Super cheap and 1 pack is enough until we run the dishwasher.

My 3 year old eats off plain plastic plates- I like the ones I got at Ikea recently. We have a stack so they can sit and wait in the dishwasher. I also have a plastic placemat under it because she is still messy, and it's Frozen, so she loves it, but I just wipe that when I clear the table. I got so sick of divided plates that don't stack in each other that I threw them out when we moved!

These: https://www.amazon.com/Re-Play-Divided-Plates-Yellow-3-Count/dp/B007HZBOFG?th=1

They work very well and I bought 2 packs, so I can toss the used ones in the dishwasher and not have to worry about having a clean plate for the next meal.

We just use plastic divided plates from Target. Either Target brand colored ones or a few character ones. LO's favorite thing right now is a "surprise plate" which basically means I bring him a plate with three or four different things on it and surprise him. Because at 2.5 if I ask him if he wants to eat X or Y he just says no even if it's his favorite food. :silly: The divided plates work well for our "surprise plates" and they easily go in the dishwasher.

What dish does your toddler eat off of? We have a happy mat and I'm tired of washing it two or three times a day. We don't have a full size high chair so eating off of the tray isn't an option. I like the happy mat ok but not enough to purchase a second one. Recommendations?
