Brings him milk, change him, and offer breakfast 7:35 - DH leaves house and drop LO at daycare while I clean up, make tea/breakfast for me, shower if I didn't do it earlier 8am-4pm work 4:00 - make LO's dinner 4:30 - leave house, fight traffic to get to daycare 5:00 - comes home and hang out a bit 5:15 - LO's dinner. I'd wash his dishes from daycare and prep his lunch box for tomorrow. 6:00 - LO finishes dinner, clean up while he walks around the kitchen / living room. Have to watch him on the side of my eye to make sure he doesn't do anything crazy 6:15 - Back to his room and play a bit. Prep bath 6:30 - Bath time 7:00 - Milk + story time. DH comes home from work. 7:15 - LO to bed. She nurses. 7:40ish- play ~8-8:15-breakfast 9-11-nap (sometimes until 11:30) 11- nurse then play. 12-lunch 1-3-nap (if naps until 11:30 adjust by 1/2 hour) 3-nurse then play. 5:30-supper 6:05-play and get ready for bed. DH is also up and showering at this point. 7am- Wake LO up, nurse her then put her in her high chair to eat the breakfast DH already prepared for her. She eats while he gets dressed and I make my breakfast and eat. 7:45- DD finishes breakfast, I hand her off to DH to dress while I put my work clothes on. I feed the dogs and make sure they've been let out. 8:00- out the door on our way to work. DH usually takes her to daycare because I'm a sap and hate dropping her off. 9-5 - at work 5:45- pick DD up from Daycare (some days my mom picks her up and brings her home earlier). 6:00- make dinner, eat, play as a family 7:30- bath time, snuggles, nurses and bed for baby girl. No kids yet. 8:00am: wake up, spend ~15 minutes checking my phone before getting up and getting ready for work. 8:45am: leave for work 9-2ish: work, run work errands 2-5:00: eat lunch, run errands, clean the house, work on projects, etc. It varies each day. 5-6:00: prep dinner 6:00: if my DH has just left work I change, pack him some clothes, and meet him at the gym. If he is already home we go to the gym together. 7:30: come home, finish cooking dinner, eat and watch a show. 9:00: shower then go to bed. My DH falls asleep quickly, I read or watch Netflix until 11 before falling asleep. The other two days (or when I have meetings) the day starts 2 hrs earlier as I have a 3 hr commute! 6:50: Alarm goes off. Snooze - alarm - snooze - alarm... 7:20: Shower, dry and style hair, make up, clothes... 7:45: Take dogs for quick walk - or just let them out into the garden! 8:00: Leave for work. Sit in traffic for 1 hr. 9:00 Arrive at work - do some work and stuff 12:30: Lunch 1:30: Get back to work! 5:00: Leave the office - sit in traffic for 1 hr 6:00: Get home. Lie around on the bed with DH, perhaps have a little nap! 7:00: Go to the supermarket (we never fancy the food we have in!) 7:30: Tidy the lounge etc while DH cooks dinner 8:15: Eat some dinner 8:30: Wash up after dinner 8:45: Flop in front of the TV., have a bath or go on HB! 10:00: Remember to feed the poor dogs!!! 10:30: Start saying I'm going to go to bed in a minute 11:30: Finally go to bed. Put my body lotion on, read a book. 12:30: Panic that it's late, put down book, try to sleep..... finally succeed. Pretty full day, huh? I don't know where I'm going to fit in having a baby with all that TV watching and lying about!!! Wagon Sr. wakes up, gets ready, lets the dogs out, gets Wagon Jr. up/dressed/fed. 7:00am - Nanny arrives, LMW wakes up, me/WS/WJ out the door. Daycare drop off, me and WS go to work. 8:00am - 4:00pm - we both work. 5:00pm - daycare pickup, home, dinner, let the dogs out 6:00pm - I do LMW's bedtime (bath and bottle), she's down by 6:30ish 6:30pm - WS does WJ's bedtime (bath and stories), he's down by 7ish 7:00pm - 8:00pm - we eat dinner if we haven't already, wash dishes/bottles/pump parts, pack WJ's lunch 8:00pm - 9:30pm - relax and try to do housework / WS studies / let the dogs out 9:30pm - upstairs for bed, I pump then we watch some netflix and go to sleep. However, I do work part-time in the evenings as a tutor... 5am - Help DH with the first morning feeding 5:30am - Breakfast (hopefully the babies fell back asleep, giving me an hour or so to relax before the day begins) 8am-4pm - Try to keep the babies on their 3-hour schedule. Work on improving their naps. Usually groceries/errands are done during the day when I'm out and visiting with clients. This is how my day usually looks: 2:00(ish) am - DS gets up for his bottle. He usually goes right back to sleep and I'm back in bed within 1/2 hour. 6:00 am - DD wakes up for the day. DS gets up by 7 am usually, then we eat breakfast, clean up the kitchen, etc... 7/7:30 am - Get the kids dressed and ready for the day; then we play in the playroom. 9:00 am - I put DS down for a nap. DD gets to watch a show while I shower and get ready. 10:00 am - DS is up from his nap and we get ready to leave the house. 10:30 am - We leave to run errands, go to the park, go to the library, etc... 11:30/12:00 - We return home and I get the kids some lunch. 12:30 pm - I put DS down for his nap; DD reads books in her bed and is usually asleep by the time I am done with DS. 1:00 pm - I eat lunch, do some chores, catch up on HB, etc.. 2:30 pm - I work on my schoolwork. 3:00/3:30 pm - The kids are up from their nap. We have asnack and hang out/play. 4:00 pm - DH is home from work; we usually go for a walk or to the pool ror park. 5:00 pm - we start dinner. DH and I take turns cooking and playing with the kids. 5:30 pm - Dinner time. 6:00 pm - Bath time. 6:30 pm - PJs, brushing teeth, stories, and a bottle for DS. 7:00 pm - DS is asleep. I start cleaning up from dinner. 7:30 pm - DD is asleep. DH helps me finish cleaning, and then I work on schoolwork. 8:30/9:00 pm - DH and I hang out, watch tv, play games, etc... 9:30 pm - Sleep. My weekdays go something like this: 6:15 a.m. - wake up and let dogs out; usually LO also wakes up around this time, so I change him and then nurse him if it's been a while, or just play with him for a bit 6:30 a.m. - shower (LO sits in his bouncer in the bathroom if he's awake), make coffee, play with LO some more, eat breakfast, put away laundry, feed the dogs, tidy up 7:30 a.m. - nurse LO if I didn't earlier, get dressed and finish getting ready 7:50 a.m. - my MIL arrives at our house to care for LO; play a tiny bit more and say goodbye 8 a.m. - my husband and I leave for work (we work at the same place) 8:15 a.m. - work until noon with a break around 10 to pump noon - go home for lunch: nurse LO, eat, play with LO, talk to MIL about the morning 1 p.m. - walk back to work (just over a mile) with our younger dog 1:30 p.m. - work some more with a break around 3 to pump 5:15 p.m. - walk home with the dog - sometimes my husband joins us too 5:45 p.m. - get home, talk to MIL about the afternoon, nurse LO, play a little bit 6:15 p.m. - bedtime routine - bath, book, nurse one more time, then put LO down in his crib 6:45-7:15 p.m. - LO is asleep; laundry, dishes, dinner, feed dogs, tidy up, talk with my husband, usually an hour or two of work 10-11 p.m. - in bed (I would prefer 10 but usually it's closer to 11) 4 a.m. - LO wakes up to nurse; put him back to bed in his crib 4:15 a.m. - try to go back to sleep Springtime on "What does your typical day look like?" https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/what-does-your-typical-day-look-like#post-635511 Tue, 12 Mar 2013 20:56:18 +0000 Springtime 635511@https://boards.hellobee.com/ I'm a WOHM to a 10.5 month old. My day looks somewhat like this on a Monday thru Friday 7 am- LO wakes up, and I get ready for work, DH wakes with LO and does breakfast, he is the caregiver unless its a day he works 8am- 5pm- I'm at work 5- Come home, play with LO, pick up house 5:30- start and cook dinner 6:30-7- eat dinner 7-7:30- play with LO and clean up kitchen 7:30- bathtime 7:45- bottle and bedtime for LO 8- spend time with DH, catch up on our shows, relax 10 pm- LO is usually waking, put back down in crib Midnight- usually wakes again, put him into bed with me 4 am- bottle and back to sleep 7 am- up again for another day He usually wakes 2-3 times a night, some nights are better, some worse. We are still deciding if we want to try and sleep train or see if his sleep improves on its own. This is what a typical day looks like: 5:30am - Olive wakes up. I lay down on the floor of her room on the sheepskin rug (it's pretty comfy) and nurse her. She goes back to sleep until 7:30-8:00am. 8:00 - 8:50am - Make breakfast, pack lunches, get the kids ready for daycare. 8:50 - 9:10 - Drop the kids off at daycare 9:10 - 4:00 - Work 4:00 - 5:00 - Cook dinner. 5:00 - Pick up the kids from daycare. 5:30 - 6:30 - Dinner, bath, hang out a little 7:30 - Olive asleep (Mr. Bee puts Charlie down around 8:30) 7:30 - 8:30 - Clean up a little. 8:30 - 12:00 - Work (although lately it has been more tv, less work) 12:00 - 1:00 - Watch hulu/netflix until I fall asleep.
