I started testing around 10 dpo and got negative after negative. Finally around 14 dpo I gave up, but when I only spotted and never started a period I tested again and it was positive right away. With Lowly I got a positive on a digital at 15 dpo. The DH will be going away around the time that I ovulate so Dr suggests that we wait til next month to start. I asked if they could freeze his 'guys' but they said his SA numbers weren't that good so it wouldn't be the best outcome. The first time I got an undeniable positive was on the day my period was scheduled to arrive. I had mostly regular, 28 day cycles, but didn't chart so I don't know exactly which DPO I was.
