My 13 m.o loves mini fritattas - I do a batch of egg with cheese, mushroom and spinach in a mini muffin tray and then freeze and defrost as needed.

@bisous: my 7 month old loves cut up string cheese (well the pieces that don't fall out of her hand before they actually make it to her mouth lol) the mozzarella ones are soft & easy to get down.

We are still on purees at 8 months. However, at my play date yesterday, a 10 month old had black beans, cut up cherry tomatoes, cucumber sticks and turkey for lunch. Seemed like a great lunch to me! LO was watching her enviously as I shovelled another spoon of squash purée into her mouth.

@Pepper: Yes! They all work, too!

@Smurfette: I am so glad you mentioned that. Thanks. I know our daycare is peanut free because there is always a reminder in the newsletter, but I guess I will ask tomorrow about the grapes!

LO is 9 months, and he eats blueberries, steamed carrots, green beans, string cheese, bananas, baked chicken, scrambled eggs, mango, cooked apple, avocado, pastina, ravioli... pretty much anything I can cut into bite sized pieces!

ETA: I just realized you were looking for things people send to daycare... and while I don't have experience with that, I think a lot of the above foods would work for meals on the go!

@Bookish: Oh no! Maybe it's the high acidity? I hope your LO feels better soon. If I give her citrus soon, I will be cautious!!

@bisous: Hah, actually, I was about to come on here to say watch out for citrus! We started feeding them to her yesterday (peeled, slices cut in half) anddd she promptly had diarrhea later in the day and thew up tonight. Gah! So, if she hasn't had citrus yet, I'd recommend it in moderation and keep an eye on her poops.

All good ideas! I am thinking of cutting up string cheese, too. And maybe sending grapes.

@ALV91711: French toast is smart! I could definitely send that!

@Bookish: Does your LO eat a whole slice of cutie at a time or do you cut each piece in half? S has not had clementines or really any citrus yet.

We send mango chunks, cut up pieces of toast, cucumbers, goldfish crackers, cooked peas, spaghetti, bananas, steamed carrots, and steamed broccoli. Our baby is 11 months old. I can't wait to hear other suggestions because I feel like we are in a boring food rut over here!

My LO is 10 months old and I am planning to start sending her with finger foods to daycare staring this week. She loves feeding herself at home, but has only been eating purées, puffs and bananas at daycare so far.

What are you favorite/standby finger foods that your under one year old ate (or currently eats)?
