at the time I was buying enfamil and BJs member ship was paid for in a month. I currently buy pampers, deli meat, yogurt, chicken and toilet paper regularly. The deli meat is about $2-3 less a pound!

Oh goodness, everything...
Formula paid for like the next 10 years of membership
Milk saves us almost $1/week, which almost pays for a year's membership
Gas is anywhere from the same to $0.15 cheaper at any given time, so that can save quite a bit
Bananas are about $0.20/lb cheaper than the grocery store (and we eat a LOT of bananas)
Frozen chicken breasts are MUCH cheaper (don't recall $/lb)
TP and paper towels save us quite a bit of money too, as well as Ziplock bags, foil, plastic wrap (although, usually only have to buy that stuff like once a year)
Quinoa is quite a bit cheaper (we eat a lot of it), spices are much cheaper, flour and sugar are cheaper (but you need some storage space for those)

ETA: Oh, these are all Costco prices, I have no idea how BJs runs :bummed:

We buy meat, fruit, baby carrots, paper products like toilet paper and paper towels, detergent, cereal, small appliances, office equipment, printer papers, clothes, underwear, shoes, vitamins, OTC meds, eggs, butter, lunchmeat, hummus, wine, bread, and any kind of potluck contribution dessert (pies, cakes, etc) from Costco. And gas. We love Costco.

We buy EVERYTHING from Costco except for certain produce items (strawberries, bananas, avocados, tomatoes) peanut butter (Costco doesn't have the kind we like), and baby food and snacks like purees and puffs.

Costco is so awesome. They have a huge organic selection and it keeps getting bigger and bigger!

@maybebaby: diapers alone is worth it for us (Costco). And especially when she was on formula.

@maybebaby: does yours have a gas station? Ours pays for itself with that - right now its 10 cents cheaper per gallon than reg stations!

Thinking of getting a BJs membership, but curious if it would pay off. We don't have a deep freezer or large pantry and we live in an apartment with not a lot of storage. Would a membership be worth it for a family of 3?
