We have a local bar that is kid friendly (well, kid tolerant) and we go out with the kiddos every week. If we had to pay admission (which is ~$45, per adult, yeesh), we would wait until she's a little older. However, I take DD to a pet supply store occasionally, and she *loves* looking at the fish tanks - blows raspberries and squeals when they swim by. We go to the farmers market every Sunday morning, and occasionally grab brunch or coffee, afterwards. DD loves books, so we often visit the library or local bookshop. We window shop, run errands, pack picnics to eat on the beach or at the park, and will sometimes visit a family friendly museum. Next month, we are going to the aquarium. It's only fun when the weather's nice though. For now, we normally just take a walk and feed the ducks. We recently discovered a sweet little playground that's toddler sized that overlooks docks with a bunch of birds, there's even a cafe nearby with picnic tables.
