But a cool place!</p> <p>I went to Taste of Texas recently for steak and it was so good! They feed you chips and salsa and popcorn while you are waiting to be seated and the included salad bar was great for the kids. The great thing is they open early on weekends-8 am! So even though it's not super kid friendly, we can get in and out before the brunch rush.</p> <p>Hubs had crab cake Benedict and I had maple bacon infused French toast Benedict. It was pretty spicy which I am sensitive to, but even I enjoyed it. Chain, local, doesn't matter. </p> <p>I recently stopped at a little country restaurant that was recommended to me by a friend. It's halfway between my house and my parents along route 40. It's called Meadow Family Restaurant. It's a buffet restaurant with lots of fried food and an entire dessert table. I wish we had found it 10 years ago! I can't wait to go again. :) </p>
