How it works is it's a weekly fee based on how many days you need care for LO, and whether it's just morning (6-9am) or evening (3-6pm). It's not very expensive because it's about 4 child care workers hired thru the school district to about 50 kids (give or take). We always had a structured activity/craft at least once a week, tons of board games, art table, gym time and outside/recess time. I loved that job!!</p> <p>Also - the YMCA has a before/after childcare program as well for similar price.</p> <p>Before and after school nannies are pretty common as well.</p> <p>Daycares usually have similar programs too. As for drop off I think we can probably alternate dropping her off and being late to work. What happens when she starts real school which is usually from 8.45 to 3.15, how are you able to be at work on time if you drop off your kids and also who takes care of them from the time school is over until you get off from work? </p>
