&#60;p&#62;@Thenetexan:  i have to say, while I'm really sorry you're not happy with it, it totally makes me feel better right now haha. And i agree, having done without one for this child and done fine, i question how necessary they are, and i went back and forth for half a year deciding what to get for some type of seating.  But to finally decide and then have this happen?  Oh the frustration! &#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;I forgot to mention that after all the drama, I don't really love my glider...  I have a glider recliner in my oldest's room that is so much more comfortable. Luckily, we don't use the PBK one that much. My youngest did not nurse for an hour per feed and require heroics to get him to sleep like my first did. I now understand why some people think a glider is unnecessary!

&#60;p&#62;@kjpugs:  oh i will! this isn't over  :silly: the supervisor is off on vacation but apparently all of my emails have been left for her for when she gets back, and I will be following up after the holiday for sure.  I'm also contemplating writing a letter to someone about my experience, but I'm not sure who to write that it wouldn't just fall on deaf ears.  This isn't the end of it in my mind, but I am taking my refund ASAP, because i need that $ to buy a new chair (from someone else)!  And i'd love a gift card to buy sheets, because no way am I buying her twin bed from them, but i do love their sheets.

<description>&#60;p&#62;@Pirouette: keep pushing. PBK is AWFUL about this kind of stuff and if you push you could likely get a good discount or gift card. At least you should get a refund and a gift card for the future. They lost an order of mine (well one item they sold me was not in stock anymore, not replaceable and the other was backordered) - it was an easter basket and they just NEVER UPDATED ME. A week before easter I called and they told me. They said they could get me the basket part by the end of the month (after easter) and credit me for the liner. I said no way and pushed back hard on it and ended up getting refunded plus $50 gift card. My friend had a huge issue with them with their furniture for the nursery and a rocking chair that was supposed to be a glider or something like that and ended up keeping it, but got the whole price on a gift card- like hundreds of dollars. She also had to push hard but it seems to be worth it. I used my gift card to buy my LO new sheets- something less likely to get messed up!

<description>&#60;p&#62;I had a really hard time with their customer service regarding my glider and the promised window delivery moving back two months after I replaced my non refundable order. They were extremely disorganized. The deal we worked out was for me to pick a new fabric, since that was supposed to be the back order issue. The day I picked a new fabric, the chair arrived. They clearly have poor communication with their manufacturer. It was frustrating, especially to the pregnant hormonal customer. I will stay away from them in the future for non stocked items.

<description>&#60;p&#62;@Pirouette:  we have the Benji and it's a great size, not too huge. I have used it for nursing DD since she was a newborn. It's not big enough for her to sit beside me when we read books, but she sits on my lap just fine. I think one that's wide enough for her to sit next to me would be too wide for me to comfortably nurse in, so I preferred the smaller-scale chairs. I definitely recommend checking them out in person if you can, though!

<description>&#60;p&#62;So UPDATE! after several weeks of &#34;the supervisor is working on this&#34;, they basically just told me &#34;actually, the supervisor is on vacation&#34; and threw their legal disclaimer at me &#34;we're not responsible for the accuracy of our website&#34; and offered me a refund for the purchase.  I told them that was not an acceptable response after giving me the runaround for weeks.  Working on it and being on vacation are NOT the same thing.  Honesty goes a long way in customer service.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Anyway, it's looking like i'm going to just get my money back and I will not be buying any furniture from them ever again!&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Side note, anyone want to recommend an awesome glider from any other store in the U.S?  :grin:

Well they didn't get it and process it in time.  So I had to pay for the renewal on my Discovercard.  So I waited a couple of months to see if I would get a refund check or a credit back on my card.  I didn't.  So I called and they had zero record of double payment.  I turned in proof.  I even went in person to the local store.  I got the run around, I was so upset.  I finally called Discovercard and disputed the claim.  Got my money back that way.  Good luck I hope you don't have as much trouble

We get the shed - no floor! we go back to the store and and the guy says &#34;oh you have to order the floor its an extra $100&#34; after telling them about the experience the ordered the floor and we didnt have to pay for it

The only reason I've been waiting on them is they said they had to get info from the manufacturer.  Now that i know it was their problem,  not the manufacturer  (who shipped it direct), ill be following up with them directly.  To their credit, they have been very responsive so far.&#60;/p&#62;

IIRC, the manager couldn't actually override the order but would call and deal with customer service himself. The CS people never pushed back and things got resolved quickly. BUT this was a decade (omg  :shocked: ) ago so things may have changed. I'd still give it a try if need be, though.

I received it and looked at it in the box and it looked great, wrapped it. When we opened it Christmas morning the embroidery for his name was sewn so that the two layers were sewn together and he couldn't get in it.&#60;br /&#62;
I got a bit of runaround with getting a replacement, but I did get it. You just have to stay on them. Don't expect them to call you back.

<description>&#60;p&#62;Do you have a store near you? If you're having trouble with them over the phone, I'd go to a store, ask for the manager, and see if he or she can intervene. It's harder to be wrong when you have to do it in person, IMO...&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Failing that, if they try to stick you with the slipcover and no chair, dispute the charge with your CC company. What you got is clearly not what you ordered so I'm sure you'd win.
