He had been a pretty easy child overall though.</p> <p>DD is 19 months and the last 4 months have been hard since she is into everything and screams when things don't go her way. He's just mean. He doesn't listen and doesn't understand punishments/consequences. He is throwing tantrums more often than not and now is hitting and slapping.</p> <p>Add to that being pregnant and having almost daily migraines and life is rough these days. It's no fun being miserably sick at work all day and then going home to get punched in the face by your kid. MSPI can suck it.</p> <p>I've had a pretty easy, enjoyable time with LO1 from 5 months on. He's 27 months now. I remember a screamy phase around 10 months, but nothing else stands out. He does have a temper, but is usually easygoing and sweet. I love the developing communication.</p> <p>LO2 - 5.5 months right now - is a pretty good sleeper and usually a very happy baby. Sleep training was a lifesaver with him. He also has a temper (so frustrated that he cannot move like big brother moves!) but the unpredictable screaming has lessened. </p> <p>I am much better suited to handling tantrums and defiance than sleep deprivation and inconsolable crying. DD1 was a colicky high needs baby. She was constantly attached to my boob (it seemed), cat napped for 20 minutes till over one and did not STTN regularly till over one. He's now twelve weeks and I better understand his cries and cues so we're in a pretty good place.</p> <p>This last three months have been pretty rough for my big girl, she's a sensitive wee soul and has struggled with her new role as a big sister. We have had so much fun, I'm really enjoying him. He had reflux, and once we finally figured out the right meds for him - bam, traveling for the holidays + early 4-month sleep regression. The past few months have been the hardest thus far....tons of "I don't want to", whining, and outright refusal to listen.
