@Mrs. Bee: good point! no major changes for the LO are coming up that i know of anyway. and i appreciate all the time how easy it is with one and i don't even know the difference! but i do know that it is very manageable.

@NYCaliMama: I say that everyday. If only I knew just how easy it was with one!

@Andrea: I think maybe the terrible twos were brought on by the birth of Olive. Charlie was a pretty good boy up until two and didn't throw very many tantrums. Now he really tests our limits. For me, 15-24 months was the best time.

@NYCaliMama: Lol... it's not too bad, but DS is so analytical & literal that if he's taught something one way he tends to stick to THAT way! He's still pretty opening considering, but it's kinda funny when you're going you're trying to explain things a different way and they want to go by what "they learned". Guess it's part of that feeling independent.... I guess. lol

@runsyellowlites: uh oh... There's a "that's not what my teacher taught me?" stage... haha. They get sassy huh :) Yes I agree... So far my 4 year old is a JOY (most of the time) :)

@mrs. wagon: Aww, I feel the same way too.... I didn't enjoy #1 as much as I should've. I hated being a SAHM too then (I only lasted 7 months). But this time, I'm loving and treasuring it! I definitely am appreciating #2's infancy much more. The only thing is, now I'm busier with the two! If only I knew back then how nice just having one child is...

DS is 7 and I think my favorite age to date is 4-5. Still before the "that's not what my teacher taught me" stage, old enough that I got all kinds of cute things made for me, and out of the toddler "what are you trying to tell me stage?"!

Now, DS did make a video of a song for us just the other day full of "I love you mommy & daddy, you're the best, you're the best, you're the best" which may be my favorite "gift" to date.. but the age from was definitely the start of pre-school & kinder. =)

The stage RJ's in right now (2 years 4 months) is my absolute favorite stage. He can talk and tantrums are down to a minimum. Every day I look at him and say "I love him so much"! He's SO fun to play with and I don't even like playing with kids.

But I think once baby #2 arrives I will enjoy the newborn and infant stages a lot more. I was miserable as a SAHM but I look back at pics and think, he was so cute and non-mobile! Why did I not appreciate him more??

@Andrea: i really looked forward to charlie talking, but with his increased ability to communicate comes way more power struggles. it was waaaay easier when he couldn't talk as much!

My LO is almost 11 months and I'm loving the this stage the most so far. She seems to be learning something new every day and it's just so much fun to experience the world through her eyes.

i used to always think I'd love the 2-3 yo stage... but now that we are in it (eldest is 3.5 yo) I have to say, I miss the first two years. Baby #2 is 3 months right now and I'm loving it. She's so easy compared to my toddler. Now, when I was a first time mom, I absolutely hated the NB stage with a passion, so this tells you how much you can change your mind about things over time. yes I'm loving that my toddler can speak and communicate much better than ever before, but this is also the stage where they test your limits to the maximum. I say, enjoy the first two years!

I'm enjoying this stage much, much more than the newborn stage. I'm much to rough and clumsy to enjoy them when they were so fragile. Now that she's 7 months, she enjoys rougher play and I feel like I can handle her a little better. But I definitely miss the days when she would sleep all day except to feed. Now she's a ball of energy and constantly on the move.

I think I will love, love, love the stage when she starts talking and we can have some sort of dialogue.

Now. And I imagine I will like each progressive stage more and more, because I HATE the infant/baby stage. I'm even looking forward to the teenage years! (But then again, I have a passion for working with teens.)

What I am really looking forward to is when my children are adults and I can have adult conversations with them over a glass of wine. I really think I'm a 60-year-old at heart, because I honestly can't wait until I'm old and gray!

So far I like the current stage at 6 months, but I could use some combination of the past couple of months as well. He is really becoming his own person, and I love seeing him soak in his surroundings. I do look forward to the age when he can start communicating and experience more activities..

Some like the newborn stage when babies are so tiny, some like the stage around 6 months+ when they're social but not quite mobile. Me I like the stage from 19 months+ (or Charlie's age right now) because he can talk. It's definitely harder now than when he was say 9 months old, but it's more fun and I feel so close to Charlie. I can't wait for Olive to get to the same stage!

What has been your favorite stage?
