@looch
Costco has the cutest cedar playhouse right now, it has a small kitchen space with burners and a shelf I think. It's so inexpensive (for playhouses) at $269. Seriously thinking of buying it for lo and saving it for her 2nd birthday!

My ds loved his kitchen, he played with until he was 4. I can't remember how much we paid for it. We bought a Peg Perego John Deere ride on Gator for his 2nd birthday ($360) and 8 years later all the kids still love it! They have it at costco right now too! Oh and he played with his train table for the longest time, I'd say 6 years, it was from costco too. I may have a problem!!

Our son got a Step 2 mini jungle gym for his birthday and he LOVES it. He climbs on it, slides down the slide, hides underneath,...I placed a blanket over it and he loves hiding out in it.

Up to this point, it's been the Fisher Price laugh and learn table. He loves it, he thinks it is his turntables, lol.

I want to get him one of those big playhouses, the ones that have the kitchen inside this summer. I think that will be a huge hit.

We have a kitchen too and my three boys love it. In addition to that I think the Thomas wooden railways are well worth their money. They are the sturdiest toys I Have ever bought. I got a bunch from my sister (after her three kids had finished with them) and they were perfectly fine. They are crazy expensive but worth the money!! My pet peeve is plastic junk that breaks in 10 minutes

So far this has been a lifesaver, Cam loves to hit and kick things, and it will hopefully still interest him when he is sitting up too. I can put him in it while he is screaming, next thing I know he is smiling and playing.

http://www.target.com/p/Fisher-Price-Discover-N-Grow-Kick-Play-Piano-Gym/-/A-13474602#?lnk=sc_qi_detaillink

I was going to buy a gym that they lay under, but read so much about only getting a little use out of them before they grow out of them. This one is so underrated IMO.

Lo's favorite toy so far is a cheap little rattle. She'll hold onto that thing for hours!

@Mrs. Bee: Did Charlie show interest in it that early? I have been eyeballing one but didn't know if it was a bit premature.

@Sha: It is a Step 2! We bought it at Toys R Us. When older kids come over, they love going on it, too. These are 5 year olds so I'm happy that the LO will probably play with it for years and years.

Our play kitchen for sure. Got it at 9 months and Charlie still plays with it pretty much every day. Definitely got our money's worth!
