It is a bit scary. I think about it sometimes when we watch some of our favorite shows. I'm just so shocked that they're allowed to say certain words like b!tch and @ss! On prime time network tv! And yeah, the sexual innuendos, while I find them hysterical most of the time, can be a bit much. It floors me.

@chopsuey119: my Dad didn't even like me watching shows with families that were divorced!!! He was pretty strict about what he did or did not want us watching.

I love two broke girls, lol.

I don't know if there's much you can do about what your kids watch. There are still some good family tv shows like modern family, the middle, etc.

Not sure what to do! You can put parental controls on certain channels but there are so many channels - is that feasible? Plus they will have access to the Internet all over the place. It seems pretty hard to control!

I agree, but I think now with Internet and YouTube kids see much more "unacceptable crap" then we did as kids.
I don't know... I try not to think about it.

I loved the TV shows that were on prime time when I was a kid. They were all mostly wholesome, especially at the 8pm hour. As it got later, the shows got slightly racer.

Now, there's so much crud on TV that I'm afraid for our kids. We watched Two Broke Girls last week at 8pm. I swear, every 3 minutes there was a sexual innuendo flying around. Ugh, it revolted us both.

Does anyone else feel this way about TV? What can we do when our kids get older and want to watch this crap?
