Thanks for all the kind comments, Mr. Bee. I have learned so much from Hellobee. I am grateful that there is a real, candid, and supportive community to talk about struggles with TTC and general parenting issues. I feel as if there is a huge knowledge base through shared experience and love all the conversation on the boards. I've found Mrs. Bee's posts on sleep training super helpful. Although I don't CD, I found all the posts on cloth diapers very interesting. I also love all the guides for toys and gear! They are my first reference point when shopping for LM.

I loved the Au Pair post. It was really interesting. I think overall I love all the posts. People are honest and reply to threads. Its nice to have when you don't have real life mommy/daddy friends.

I've learned that all mothers have struggles and need good support and I've found that on Hellobee, people are supportive and insightful. I've also found that asking a question on the boards is better than Googling for an answer!

I agree with your picks Mr. Bee. For my two cents, I am finding that a lot of women don't have people to talk to IRL about a lot of these issues. I am wondering why that is and while it's great that there are online communities where women can remain anonymous and talk about their real feeling/issues -- I also wish that everyone could have good support networks in person, too. I think that would really make a lot of this easier to deal with.

I have learnt that I am not the only one who still continues to have challenges with Breastfeeding. I have been on other sites where it was seen as unsupportive to talk about the challenges of Breastfeeding!!! It was disheartening and I felt alone for having so many ongoing issues with it. Thank you to all the ladies who came forward and shhared their experiences.

One of my favorite boards threads ever was on au pairs. Mrs. Marbles posted asking about for info on the subject, and MH.Abroad shared her experience of being an au pair! It was such a unique perspective and I learned so much from that thread. And who knows - now we may consider having an au pair when Charlie is older!

http://boards.hellobee.com/topic/hiring-an-au-pair

I've also learned a lot from reading the blog. Mrs. Hide and Seek's posts especially have really opened my eyes as to the importance (and power!) of early intervention when it comes to childhood development. And the story Mrs. Hide & Seek relayed about how having a child on the Austism spectrum is like finding yourself in Amsterdam... that was amazing:

http://www.hellobee.com/2011/12/01/the-road-bends/

Mrs. Marble's introductory posts also really moved me. It reminded me what a miracle it is every time a healthy baby comes into the world... and how it's important to never take anything for granted:

* http://www.hellobee.com/2011/11/16/the-road-to-pregnancy-part-1/
* http://www.hellobee.com/2011/11/18/the-road-to-pregnancy-part-ii/
* http://www.hellobee.com/2011/11/23/the-road-to-pregnancy-part-3/

Finally, I've learned just how many people struggle with conception and miscarriage. These are subjects that a lot of people don't talk about in the real world, so it's been amazing to hear so many people that I (virtually) know share their stories of difficulty and loss. I've been so moved, and I think it's helped me through the healing process for our own losses along the way.

How about you... what you have picked up from your time on Hellobee, or on other baby/parenting sites?
