Thanks everyone these are all great suggeations.

I love mint tea and drink it all the time! Didn't know it could reduce supply. We have mint in our yard so maybe I will add extra fresh mint to it

Sage and mint both decrese supply. Drink lots of peppermint tea! Also Sudafed.
Never hear of advil or tylenol effecting milk supply.

I'm pretty sure Claritin is ok when you are TTC and that would probably help to dry things up. Sudafed definitely would help to dry things up too. I guess it would depend where you are in your cycle. I'd avoid it right around O, so as not to dry up cm. I think it would be ok though for a few days right after O, before implantation... or right after the 2 week wait ends.

I was down to nursing 2-3x a day when I stopped. I had low supply anyway, but I didn't have any problem with engorgement and I didn't take anything to further decrease my supply.

I think any decongestant will dry you up. As mentioned, sudafed will do it, but I also find that Zyrtec or Allegra D also does reduce my supply too.

@MrsMccarthy: I'm working on this, too! We stopped BF a week ago and I'm still producing a decent amount of milk - ouch! I've pumped a couple of times just to reduce the pressure but I really hoped everything would dry up a bit more quickly! Good luck!

@pastemoo: ooh are you TTC again as well? :)

@MamaMoose: yes I've read that too but since we are TTc I try to limit NSAIDS. I wonder if Tylenol helps

I've heard taking Advil and Sudafed helps but I wouldn't suggest those while TTC.

@MrsMccarthy: We're in the process--went from once a day, to skipped the regular time to do 1.5 days and then 1.5 days, and now we're at every 3 days. I'm hoping once it goes down a little more, it won't be an issue.
So... guess I'm more following for advice than giving any.

Good luck TTC!

I'm hoping to dry up my milk quickly so as to help my hormones adjust and help me to get pregnant. Does anyone who's done this have any tips? I was only nursing once a day so I'm having minimal engorgement. I've read that sage tea can help but I also read that it has natural estrogen And I'm wary of anything that may affect my hormones.
