That's what our ped recommended. He also seemed to appreciate when I put an ice cube in a mesh feeder. It was messy, but it seemed to help him, and I knew he was at least getting some water, since he wasn't drinking or eating anything. My DH and I were constantly passing her back and forth - she was just so miserable and wouldn't eat or drink.
