My 3.5 year old goes 5 days a week, for 2.5 hours each day. She'll do a similar schedule next year, I think it might be a bit longer each day.

He will continue 3 days a week for 2.5 hours. This year he is in mornings for 3's, but next school year he switches to afternoons for 4's.

LO will start preschool in the fall of 2016 at nearly 3. She'll go to a Montessori school T & Th 8-12.

The following school year when she's nearly 4 (October birthday) we will likely send her M W & F 8-12.

The last year before kindergarten, when she is nearly 5, I'm not sure what we will do - it's far away! But my guess is that we will send her 5 days per week. Not sure about half or full days.

Because of her birthday and the cut-off, she will be 5 years 10 months when she starts kindergarten.

DS will be just 4 and will be going 3 days from 8:30-1 (possibly 2). The cutoff is 8/31 here and because he has an August birthday we will likely hold him back from going to K until he turns 6. I figure he will go 4-5 days from 8:30-2pm for his last year of preschool.

Is kindergarten full- or half-day in ME? I'm dealing with the same issue/question for K, but kindergarten is full day (830-330ish) here. So I'm leaning towards 5 half days a week, as sort of a build up. Or I might do 4 half days and say it's my last chance! :) Either way, I'll probably have her do a couple more "extended" days (they can stay from 1-3 as desired) next year, especially towards the end.

She will either be in Daycare (pre-school) still (7am-5pm) or we may switch her to the city pre-school which would be 9-3pm, with a sitter from 3pm-5/6pm.

LO started this year at 4.5 years old. He is in the 3/4's program and attends 5 days a week from 8:45 - 2:00 (8:45 - 12:00 on Fridays). He is a little older than some of the kids in his class, but not much older. I contemplated putting him in the 4/5's classroom, since a few of his old classmates who are even younger are in there. Found out those classmates' parents decided on the older program due to work schedules since it offers before and after school care. I'm glad that I put him in the 3/4's because the 4/5's are full of kids who are much older. Their skill level is also higher (writing words and sentences).

My son is almost 5, but he goes to daycare 5 days a week from 8:30ish to 4. There is no preschool here, but daycare has a preschool aspect. He will start the equivalent of kindergarten in the fall. We both work, but I WAH.

We both WOH FT so 5 days is really our only option. And it works, and I think the consistency works. I've never had the ability to consider less days per week. I think it's great routine to establish even at 4. C turned 4 in August and started her FT Pre-K a week later.

In our town, public kindergarten doesn't start until age 5 - and the cut off is 10/15. T will be 4.4 in September when the school year starts and I'm tryin to decide what to do for his school year. I work 3 days a week.

He will be going to a Montessori School and the options for his age will be:

- Preschool (ages 3/4) - part time, any combo of 2, 3, 4 days full (830-330) or half days (830-1230)

- Pre-primary (ages 3/4) - 5 days with the choice of full or half days.

- Jr/Sr. Kidnergarten (ages 4/5) - 5 days with the choice of full or half days.

We are starting him at this school in January after we move. He'll be in the preschool room going two days 830-330 with the hope that a third day will open (since he is used to going to school three days currently). He will be with our nanny on that third day unless a spot opens up.

I'm leaning towards Pre-Primary or Jr.K because he will already be in preschool there this year. And further leaning towards Jr.K since he would be on the older side of the 3-4 year old room. I can't decide if 830-330 five days will be too much for him, though. As I mentioned, I work 3 days and his brother will also be going to this school...but 5 days is not "needed". Registration is in January so we have to decide sort of quickly!
