I'm just saying, it's one baby, $16.50 an hour in Maine....and the baby takes 2-3 naps a day for a total of 2.5- 3 hours total. It's well-paid for our area. I will say that as a nanny, I considered the act that I got down time during naps as part of my compensation. So I was okay that I didn't get paid as much as might have elsewhere. I have interviewed about twenty nannies (!) and these responsibilities all seemed to be very typical in my area (NYC). Our nanny also puts an online grocery order together for his food for the week. She also keeps LO's drawers organzed and cycles out clothes that are too small or out of season. We never asked her to do that - she just likes to have things very organized. She also meal plans for LO's lunches and keeps a running list of things we need for her. Is there anything else that you would ask / include in job duties? I'm paying her well and 95% of the time she will only be watching the baby, who naps twice a day. </p> <p>Thanks : ) </p>
