She takes care of my son so I can take a nap or run errands, makes all our meals while she is here, preps a few meals for us to eat while she's gone, cleans and folds our laundry, and even takes our trash out! The best part is she watches our son one night a week so we can go on a date. If I had to clean, I thiknk I would really lose it since I do all of the groceries, meal planning and cooking. I try to order groceries online as much as possible, especially in the winter. We don't outsource laundry although that would be great. We have a housecleaner that comes twice a month and we have a yard service that comes twice a year for the big clean ups. We do everything else ourselves.</p> <p>When I decided to return to work, my husband and I agreed that spending 4 hours every weekend cleaning the house was not something either one of us wanted to do, so we outsourced. I honestly would never be able to do as good of a job as her even if I had the time - which I don't. We have a lot of SF and it's enough of a job just keeping it picked up from our hurricane DD1. She can really trash the place :silly: But I work at least 40 hours every week, usually push 50, and on weekends, I just want to relax in my clean house with our little family. I WAH and have two kids in daycare and we have a cleaning lady once per week. She cleans the whole apartment top to bottom in 4 hours. I do not have 4 consecutive free hours to clean the apartment. We have a nanny to cover me when I work (part-time both in home and out of home). We subscribe to a biweekly produce CSA that is delivered and use Soap.com for bulk household goods like TP, cat food, laundry detergent, etc. we but the rest of our food in the store though and cook a lot at home. Our landlord pays for lawn service and we'll likely hire someone when we own if we have substantial grass.
