It has the silicone interior/hard plastic exterior like the otterbox but is much cuter and slimmer. Since my last case for my iphone 4 was soft rubber, you didn't hear the drop; but since the uncommon case is made out of hard plastic, it sounded like something broke. I was really afraid something bad happened. Nope, all is good. I think hearing that hard plastic from the case is still going to freak me out. </p> <p>The one downside to the case is I hear it's very hard to impossible to remove the case once it's on the phone. I don't change my cases, so it's fine for me. Other than that the reviews say that it's a good case that will protect the phone. It was worth the $35, I spent on it. (Ouch, I think that's the most I've ever spent on a phone case. Although, I've purchased a lot of cases over the years to find the right one, so I probably spent that much in the end.)</p> <p>The uncommon website has some very pretty cases, too. It's white with pink details so it does get kind of dirty sometimes but it's easy to clean. I had an otterbox with my 4s. That's undoubtedly more protection but it's also way uglier and so bulky. I've dropped my phone a few times with the speck case and haven't had any issues.
