Sounds like a nursing strike. DD1 did it around 7 months but never went back to nursing - she just couldn't be bothered to nurse. I ended up EPing for 3 months after that before I finally called it quits.

@Kemma: She nurses to sleep, I can't get her to sleep by just rocking her and forget about laying her down drowsy :bummed:
Yes, she eventually (15-20 minutes in) will calm down and nurse to sleep.

8-9 months is a prime age to have a nursing strike! Have you tried nursing her right before and after naps? My LO would nude well while half asleep and before she realised what she was doing, she also went through a phase where she would only nurse laying down with me.

If you keep switching sides will she eventually settle down to nurse?

@cmomma17: She did get her bottom 2 teeth about a month ago. She doesn't seem gassy, but her poopy diapers have moved to every other day versus every day.

Any chance something else is going on, like teething? Gas? (bumping this for you, hoping you'll get some good suggestions)

For the past week and a half she has become so frustrated with nursing, she will stay on one side for 30 seconds max, then wiggle/arch/move to the other side for 30 seconds and repeat. It's really hard to get her to nurse, so I've been giving her bottles but it's depleting my stash and supply.

Has this happened to anyone else? Does it last long, or just a phase, is this my cue that's she's over nursing? She'll be 8 months in 3 days.
