DD was a late crawler, so she crawled, got into a sitting position herself, and pulled up around the same time at 10.5 months. She also went from sleeping through the night to fighting bedtime so bad I had to revert to nursing her to sleep and then she would wake up screaming 3+ times a night and it would take forever to get her back to sleep. After 2-3 weeks of that, she started to wake up less (1-2 times) and we did some controlled crying to get her to go to sleep on her own again. By 11.5/12 months she was sleeping through once more.

Good luck, it sucks! For us it was time and little crying (from everyone! ha).

Just chiming in to say that when my son became more mobile, especially standing - his sleep went to crap for a little while... I almost felt like his muscles were sore and he couldn't get comfortable! He did go back to being a good sleeper (until the next regression...haha)

@FannyMae: Thanks for your reply! Maybe it is just a development thing we need to wait out? I can't think of anything else that has changed except for the first tooth and yes - he has also learned to stand and does it about 1248735 per day. ;) Good luck with your DD!

birthday twinsie here - she is up every single night two or three times. been going on for a few weeks now, and it seems to be in conjuction with learning new things and teething. learning to stand (assisted), clapping and I think her top teeth are starting to come out. sometimes she will settle herself back down after getting comfortable, other times she wants a quick 5 minute comfort nurse to re-settle.

im thinking the same as you, is she finding it difficult to connect sleep cycles? she was mucking about with her day sleeps for a while too, particularly when I was temping at work and had to take her with me. Not much advice, but I feel for you, Im right in the same predicament!

Help! My DS, who has slept through the night since he was 8 weeks old, decided last week he would wake up every 1-2 hours overnight and cry.

He can re-settle in two minutes if I fix his sleeping position and pacifier. But what the hey?? He did get his first tooth a week ago but this seems to have started after that, not because of it. I assumed it was a bad night or two ... But now we're going on 8 nights of the same thing.

Has he lost the ability to connect his sleep cycles??
