When my LO pulls of the breast like that, it's usually because he's tired but can't comfort suck to get himself to sleep (for some reason he can only comfort suck when half asleep!)

We have been having bedtime battles these last few days too. The other night it took us 3 hours to get him to sleep. I empathize!

@BabyBoecksMom: My daughter is a BEAST when she's getting molars. The rest of the teeth really weren't very bad. But the molars result in screaming fits at bedtime, horrible diaper rash, and 4 am wake ups. The worst of it is only for a few days to a week. I don't have a ton of advice but just wanted to let you know it's not just you

Advil an hour before bed and Orajel right at bedtime help the most. Good luck!

This is how my son is when he is overtired :( Could you maybe move bath time to the morning temporarily so that she can go to bed earlier? Thats the only thing that helps us when we get in these ruts :( Sorry you guys are going through this! It is so tough!

@BabyBoecksMom: Could you give her ibuprofen earlier (when you pick her up from daycare)? I thought it took an hour to kick in, so maybe an earlier dose would help with teething pain.

Trying to feed her a pouch is another good idea.

@PurplePeony: I read her a book before I nurse her and she really enjoys it. But you might be right about the food. We try to give her dinner before bed, but most nights, she's just too tired to sit and eat. Maybe I'll feed her a pouch when I pick her up at daycare today and see if that makes a difference.

Is she hungry for solids, rather than just milk? It didn't look from your schedule like you feed her dinner (or maybe she gets it at daycare?). Also, around that age my DD stopped nursing to sleep and we introduced a book between nursing and crib. After we read, I put her in the crib sitting up with her book and dim the light but still leave it bright enough for her to "read" for a bit. Once she lays down herself, I can reach in and turn off the light. But if I try to put her in the crib lying down, she totally freaks out!

Could she be reacting to a new food? I wonder if something is upsetting her stomach. Could you try gripe water? That sounds awful :(

Oh no! I wish I had advice, but only commiseration. My 4.5 month old has been refusing his bedtime bottle and screaming bloody murder, and it is SO UPSETTING! I don't know how to fix it either!

I have no idea what's going on with my 11 (almost 12) month old.

Normally, I nurse her to sleep and she passes out with no problem. But, the past week has been hell at bedtime. Now, she will pop off before she finishes eating, and scream and push away from me (almost like she's scared!). No matter how I hold her, she doesn't want to be held or comforted... it only makes her more upset. She screams harder if I put her down in her crib. I have no idea what to do!

I took her to the doctor to see if she had another ear infection - they said her ears are perfect, but she is getting 1 (maybe 2) molars in. She does seem more tired than usual (because of the molars?), but I can't put her to bed any earlier because I can't get home any earlier than I do now. (I pick her up at 5:30, get home by 5:45/6, give her a bath and put her to bed by 6:30). I have been giving her some Advil before her bath, but it hasn't made a difference.

There are two things that I have noticed that help... she seems to want to stay up and play with her sister (even though she's exhausted), and the only thing that helped to calm her down was for me to take her into the bathroom w/ the light off, water running, exhaust fan on and rock her (only upright!), like I did when she had colic as a newborn.

Last night, she didn't pass out until 9:15. :-( But, once she's (finally) asleep, she sleeps well.

Please give me some advice on things to try. I'm willing to try anything at this point.
