I got SO excited this year when someone posted about a "Ralph Lauren Home" dining set for only $400.</p> <p>And then I got there and she said she got it from Home Goods and it looked nothing like the picture. #craigslistfail</p> <p>ETA: Of course, I should have known better since a REAL Ralph Lauren Home dining set would be $15,000 new.....but she said they were moving out of the country ASAP and just needed to get rid of it. It's always solid wood, and very good quality wood. One reason it's my go-to for furniture is because the quality of the wood far exceeds anything I can really find in a furniture store. It is sturdy and high quality, and I expect it to last for many years:) I think $400 for an entire set is a fantastic deal! Usually their dressers for kids alone are that price or more.</p> <p>ETA: We have quite a few pieces and it's all really heavy wood...I find it really shocking that anyone ever had anything that wasn't!
