If you feel strongly about the pressure washing, see if your landlord is interesting in buying a pressure washer for you to use - they don't cost much more than renting one at Home Depot and its cheaper than hiring someone. Plus, then he'll have one to use in the future. We did both of those things before putting our home up for rent.</p> <p>Pressure washing...I'd check and see if they do it once a year (Spring and Fall) and it's just coming up on that time. I don't think I would ask them to pressure wash the outside. We really like the neighborhood and the house in general but it is a little worse for wear. The walls really need a fresh coat of paint and the carpets need cleaned. DH actually really thinks the exterior needs to be pressure washed.</p> <p>What is reasonable to ask? We are actually renting out the house that we own and we aren't doing much - but it is also in good shape. </p>
