Dd couldn't REALLY do this for long until right when she turned eight months and started crawling the same day.<br /> Edit- actually it was the day before she turned eight months.... She suddenly crawled a few "steps" and then within the week she was going from on her tummy to sitting on her own. More specifically, I consider it being able to sit up straight with no support.
