Beagle. I want to hug that book). I also have a great nostalgic fondness for Trinity by Leon Uris but I haven't read it in ten years so I'm not sure how well it would hold up now.</p> <p>My favorite book that I read last year was Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein. </p> <p>I also read a TON of romance novels and love them (and go nuts at used bookstores for them) but would be hard pressed to pick a single favorite, and same goes for fantasy novels. I was forced to read a lot of books in my AP English classes in high school so I got kind of resentful of "hard" reads... Which I am ashamed of now, looking bad. I spend a lot of my time escapist reading, which I really need to read some of these great books you ladies are recommending! I want to read The Kiterunner and The Namesake.
