I haven't found a straw cup that doesn't leak. So we usually use those just for water.

Now that L is bigger I just take my contigo straw cup when we are out running errands.

Munchkin click and those seasonal character cups that Target has for EVERY holiday/season.

We use a Camelbak for water, but according to their website you can also use them for milk.

Munchkin stoppe closing on us, zoli didn't actually leak much but was a pain to clean, take n toss are good but LO takes the straw out, playtex are ok, not sure bout the redesign and we liked the littler one better that didn't have a vent, avent was ok but I don't think LO liked the straw because it was wider than usual an was kind of short, and oxo leaked like crazy when LO was a bit younger although now that she mostly doesn't chuck them on the ground (or not for long) I think it'd be ok.

All the straw cups have problems!

We have been using playtex anytime and those have been the best so far. the munchkin ones started leaking on us.

DH has brought to my attention that the straw cups with little holes at the top are better because it lets the air out when it builds up pressure. That way it doesn't come out the straw. The playtex ones have a hole at the top.

We LOVE our Bbox, but I'm only comfortable using it for water, cuz I just don't feel like I really can get the straw clean, since I can't get a cleaner "through" the straw.

For milk, we use the Oxo straw cup and we love it. It has never leaked, and it's super easy to clean.

@Beehive: soooo I did let L hold it and he dropped it on our wood floor from standing, but it was fine. But then DH knocked it off our table while we were out at lunch and it hit concrete and broke. So I am really sad! I want another one (for myself) and might just not let L hold it when we're outside or something.

We still use the Zoli and don't have a ton of issues with it! It only really leaks when the water or milk is coming up to room temperature, but then a quick unscrew, rescrew of the lid seems to fix it.

Good luck to you!

@hilsy85: The Lifefactory one sounds interesting! I also like that it's not plastic. Do you think it's durable - have you given it to L to hold? I think L and J are alike in that they enjoy tossing their straw cups around!

@locavore_mama: Thank you for the tip, I'll check out the seal and the lid.

@Beehive: If you look at the Thinkster there is a silicone seal at the rim of the screw lid that is removable. It pops out so double check ifthat part is loose? And I don't know if you know this but the drinking part, underneath the lid there is a little nipple part that "snaps" into place. Check if that's snapped in.

I've found milk has a way of "exploding" out of straw cups! LOL But I've been the happiest with the Thinkster.

zoli also leaks...if you're taking it out, you can keep it in a ziploc bag in your bag, but =it's tough around the house (I know L will just throw his cup around randomly and turn it upside down). The munchkin ones are pretty good, I just put them in the dishwasher. But even they leak after some use. I think some leaking is just par for the course when they're so rough with the cups (or at least L is).

I actually just got a life factory straw bottle for myself, and they make small (9oz) sizes...so far I really like it and L has no trouble using it. Maybe that's an option? It is glass though (in a silicone sleeve).

They are a bit of a PITA to clean, but it's not a huge hassle and I'd prefer that to leaks. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0085V8TS6

We pretty much only use the Zoli if we're leaving the house. It can do that flick/spray thing too, but I'd rather that than leaking everywhere. ITA about the Munchkin one - so dang hard to flip open.

Help me bees! I'm trying to find a good straw cup for milk, and I'm not finding anything that looks good. We have been using Thinkster cups, which I thought I loved at first, but they leak terribly (not when LO tosses them about, but the milk just kind of comes out of the straw on its own).

We use Nuby cups for water, which I like, but I don't like how liquid collects in the top part of the straw and sprays out when you open the flip top lid. For water it's not a problem, but for milk it would be.

I tried the Thermos Foogo, but I really don't like how short the straw is, and how LO's face is mashed against the top of the cup when he's trying to drink from the short straw.

I've heard bad things about the Zoli and the Oxo. I just bought a Munchkin click top cup, and it's such a pain to open and close and to clean.

I feel like Goldilocks here... is there any cup that's "just right"?
