Just a note - if you soak pump parts in soapy water, you MUST disinfect afterward. Warm water is a breeding ground for bacteria.

I’d boil parts that haven’t been used in awhile. Otherwise I’d soak pump parts in hot soapy water on a daily basis and then get those microwave steam bags to sterilize ona weekly basis.

@matador84: I would also soak them...maybe hot water and vinegar? I know that’s how I disinfect and loosen gunk from our humidifier.
And then I always used the dishwasher because it cleans and disinfects (same as boiling).

I too would also buy new parts though and just use your old ones as backup to the backup, unless they truly cannot get clean, then I would toss.

Also maybe check local FB or Craigslist, a lot of people give them away since you get a few sizes when you order a new pump and you can usually only use one size.

@matador84: I found soaking in hot soapy water for 10 minutes before washing helped get parts cleaner.

I would wash them exactly how you did with a little scrub brush. I think they're pretty cheap to replace though, so buy new?
I bought new valves, membranes, and tubing the 2nd time around.
