So did my husband's paternal grandmother, actually. And one of my husband's uncles had seven (Catholic families!) </p> <p>I'm young so most of my friends are on their first babies. One of the girls at work, though, had her 4th baby about a year ago. I have 6 siblings (5 brothers and 1 sister), and through them, I have 4 sisters-in-law and 10 nieces and nephews. </p> <p>On my mother's side, I have 3 aunts and 3 uncles, 11 cousins, and 5 second cousins. On my dad's side, 3 aunts and 3 uncles, 17 cousins, and one second cousin. Between the two of them, I have 2 living grandmothers and 1 living grandfather. 1 grandmother has a sister and brother still living. My late grandfather had a brother who had a huge family that I don't know. </p> <p>DH has 2 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law, 4 nephews, 2 aunts, 1 uncle, 1 great-aunt and his grandmother. That's just how it is in their culture. Excluding Amish relatives I know of multiple families that have 4 and 5 kids each.
