Every. Single. Morning. No matter how early we start the daily routine, we always seem to leave the door rushing. At almost 3.5 yrs old, LO is constantly disagreeing with something - every piece of clothing, then she always manages to try to bring a toy to class (no matter how well we hide things away) and it's always a different random toy/article. But most of the time, she's super playful and it's a game to just put on clothes. It's exhausting! She's also not completely potty trained, which adds a whole other dimension. To really keep me on my toes, there are days when we manage to get ready early - but then she whines about leaving and it's too early! That usually results in her playing with her toys and then it's even harder to leave. The stress is much less now that she eats breakfast at school and I'm taking a later bus, but it's still so, so stressful. He makes a very comfortable salary, 6 figures but was always worried about the what if. If I do something dumb and get fired, then we're screwed and its 100% my fault. My husband is a full-time student, so he doesn't work at all. He just gets a small monthly stipend from the GI Bill. </p> <p>When my daughter was born, I was a SAHM and I remember him being fairly candid about him being resentful of his role as the sole provider and his struggle to let go of the money and not think of it as "his" money. I was mad at him at the time for saying that and he was mad that I was home and not contributing as much financially. Now that the roles are reversed, I think both of us understand the other far better. So they want an anatomy scan with an MFM at Genetics if I won't do an amnio. I recently paid off a HUGE debt and I thought it would feel so good, but NOPE...just worried about the next big thing to pay/save for.</p> <p>Also house hunting. earlier this year we decided that we could either take a big trip to visit DH's family over the holidays (they live on another continent) or purchase a home. Well....we've had absolutely no luck (but not for lack of trying) on the second front, and now it is obviously WAY too late to purchase tickets/travel. So I am just really bummed about that whole thing. I wanted to celebrate Christmas this year in OUR house, not the dumb rental. </p>
