I am getting the Britax. I was going to order mine this month because of the deal going on as well on Amazon. Buy the stroller and get the carseat free. SCORE. I was about to order, and I had talked to a few people about it, and then yesterday DH tells me NOT to order it. In which I am like "WHAT ? WHY"" apparently someone is buying it for us. I think I have an idea of who. BUT I AM SO EXCITED!!!

@lawbee11: just going to chime in, we got the bready in twilight and it's stunning!!!!! My BFF has it in black, and she agrees that twilight is way nicer. I love in a small suburb, and it's been amazing. Worth every penny

@lawbee11: I hear you on the Toyota budget! Cost was definitely a factor, but we were able to get a 2010/2011 model right before they released the 2012 so we got a great discount. You really can't go wrong with either stroller. They are both great!

@lawbee11: I got ya about the mercedes taste on a toyota budget. In the end I just couldn't justify $500 on just a stroller. I got the BReady and Chaperone during the britax free ride event for $400 (stroller and car seat). I was able to justify that!

We got the silver and have been happy with it.

@NYCaliMama: thanks for your input! It's great to know that the B-Ready has so many great features!

@jholler25: @pointybird: Thank you both!! I think if I lived in NYC or another walking city I would lean heavily towards the UBV, but we live in the 'burbs so I won't be walking on a ton of uneven ground/cobblestone. It is definitely tempting, though, cause I've got Mercedes taste with a Toyota budget :)

@mrs. bird: which B-Ready color is your fave? I LOVE the Twilight color...have you seen that one in person? Does it look as nice as it does online?

@Thehistoryofus: Nice pic! I had to squint to see the labels to tell them apart...I'm such a rookie!

I'm not sure the difference but I've looked at stroller after stroller changing my mind from B-ready, to Bumbleride Indie, to City Mini Elite, back to B-ready and so on. I really think I'll be sticking with the B-Ready. Seems to offer the features I am looking for. However, we live in a Cleveland suburb and I don't think I'll be on bricks or cobblestone often.

I second @jholler25! We live in an area with lots of brick and cobblestone and the UBV just drove beautifully, compared to the Britax BReady. But the Britax was great too.

@NYCaliMama: I just got a new 2012 Britax BReady seat and the canopy does not slide up and down but I think it has one of the tallest seat backs out there. There is PLENTY of room in there for a tall child (watch some of the you tube videos)

@NYCaliMama: I'm not sure about the canopy sliding, I will put the britax together later today & find out though! :)

I thought of a couple more differences:
Britax the handle pivots for the height of the adult vs the uppa where it telescopes. I liked the pivot, but I guess that's just a personal preference
Britax has a zipper on the front to access the basket from the front, uppa doesn't
Uppa has nicer cover over the belly bar, the britax one is foamy & I've heard kids could bite pieces off :/

We're going with the Uppa, and while I didn't investigate that Britax B very heavily, I did "drive" both and just wanted to say that the reason we REALLY fell in love with the UBV is because it drives like a Mercedes -lol;) It's just so...nice:) I'm going to just really enjoy the luxury of it for our first baby, and then when we have #2 I'll make the rumble seat and the ride-along board work.

@Mrs Bird totally covered it! Wow as a self-proclaimed stroller junkie myself, I'm very impressed :)

I also wanted to say that the the Britax also allows the second seat to recline. It's a big factor for moms of 2! The rumble seat on the Vista is at a fixed angle and can't recline. I'm lucky my eldest still napped fine in it, but I had to reposition her head a lot and/or she just looked uncomfortable :( And yes, much more seating configurations with the Britax, especially since the carseat can go on the bottom... With the Uppa, the eldest child should pretty much only go in the 2nd seat (bottom front), (just because I wouldn't feel comfortable putting a baby there under 12 months, but parents can make their own decisions on that) and it can only face the handlebars.

Also, not sure... Maybe @Mrs Bird knows... But I know the new Vista has a feature where the main seat canopy can slide up and down the seat, making more head room for a growing toddler... Can the Britax do that too?

I test drove both last year and we did end up with a Vista... Even despite Britax's advantages over the Vista, I just loved the way the Vista pushed and felt overall over the B-Ready. However, I have since sold the Vista (sadly... but in major part because we made a big cross-country move). Now I am in the market for a single/double stroller again and am considering a B-Ready as its replacement. The fact that they changed their wheels, can fold with the second seat still attached (this is huge in stroller world!), and have a 2nd seat with recline are major factors!

@lawbee11: I'll have to go back for the free extra because the buy buy baby I was at was out of the bassinets, and while I want a chaperone carseat for myself in the future, I didn't want one of the current chaperone seats because britax is removing some of the chemicals used in their seats by the end of the year, so I'd rather get one after they make that change. Hopefully they'll get more bassinets in stock soon so I can get one (I'd like to use it as a travel bed & in the stand at home), if not I'll get a chaperone & then return it & exchange it for a bassinet once they do get some in.

@mrs. bird: thank you! That is amazingly helpful! We are planning to use it as a double, so sounds like the Britax is the way to go. I saw that Britax is having their free ride event...did you get a free bassinet or carseat? If they are having the free ride event while I am pregnant I will definitely be getting the Britax because a free carseat totally seals the deal (I live in the suburbs and just don't think the bassinet will be very practical). Thanks again!

We're still TTC, but I bought a b-ready for work today & had the guy at buy buy baby go over the two with me:)

Uppa you get the bassinet, britax you don't.
Uppa has sexier legs (I don't know how else to discribe it, lol)
Uppa you hold a button and push the handle in to fold, britax you pull up a these tabs on either side of the handle (I don't find either easy to fold, but I thought the britax was a tad easier)
Uppa felt a bit more solid
Uppa has more color options & bassinets to match, britax bassinets are now only red or black, some stores have some of the silver & green from last year, but they're super hard to find.
Britax can have a britax infant bucket carseat snap right onto the stroller frame without an adapter, for other brands you need an adapter, uppa needs an adapter.
Britax has more configureations if you were going to use it as a double and can be folded with the second seat attached, uppa cannot be folded with a rumble seat.
Britax has the option to have toddler on top & hide baby below in carseat
Uppa has a metal bar across the inside of the basket, makes for a super solid feel, but it also means there's a bar through the basket, lol, britax doesn't have one there.
Uppa has extra uv protection shade that goes down a bit further
Uppa has much nicer accessories, but many fit with the britax (uppa snack tray does work with britax)
Both fit in Moses rocker, even though uppa makes a stand, this one is cheaper & is an option if you want something that works with the britax bassinet since they don't have their own stand

I'm sure there are others, those are the ones sticking out to me right now. If you are planning on using it as a double or with a britax infant seat, I think britax wins, just on its own, I think uppa wins
And since we can add photos, I'll add one of the bassinet in the stand :)

DH and I are going to start TTC soon (so I am not currently pregnant) but I am obsessed with looking at baby gear (hopefully I'm not the only one!). My latest obsession is strollers, so I was just wondering what the difference between these two is? They look almost identical to me and seem to have almost the exact same configurations, but the B-Ready is less than half the cost of the UBV (at least it is on Amazon). Is it just because the UBV includes the bassinet?
