Update - my child is still throwing his tantrum and didn't skip a beat when he woke up. We're almost at the 2 hour mark. He won't let me pick him up and prefers being on the floor.

I'm experiencing one right now. My 2 year old refuses to get in the car to drop off his brother at school. Cries, thrashed, throws himself to the ground and screams bloody murder. Somehow I get him in the car but he continues his tantrum all the way to school, cries loudly in the school, and proceeds to hurt my eardrums all the way back home. He passed out as I drove into the driveway. I need a break from him so I'm going to let him nap for 15 minutes.

We had an hour long one a few weeks ago. Torture. They're always at bedtime, too.
