They are almost 8 months now and since then I haven't left them for more than a few hours. I think the longest was 4 hours while I visited my sister after her twins were born. Dh and I went to the Caribbean and it was wonderful! We've been leaving her with her grandparents for overnight stays about once a month since she was quite young so we were all used to it. He's at my parents right now. We left during his nap on Dec. 26th. We've lounged around the past two days and probably will until the first. I can work from home most of the week and might. </p> <p>To the question: 6 days last Christmas because of a snowstorm. I miss him, but lounging and just being us is nice for a change. We left her there on Thursday (the 24th) and she won't be back home until Friday (the 2nd). </p> <p>This will be the longest we've been separate, but we've worked up to this length slowly by doing longer and longer stretches. </p> <p>She has zero separation anxiety and is absolutely obsessed with her grandparents, so I'm sure it is harder on me than her! </p> <p>DH and I have had the time off work, so it has been a very relaxing staycation for us. I laid in bed until noon yesterday! I haven't done that in YEARS. </p> <p>I'm glad to be heading back to work tomorrow, however, because I'm starting to miss her and need the distraction!</p> <p>What is the longest you've been away from LO? Did you enjoy it or was it stressful? </p>
