Just a few days after my BFP, I also passed "something" (I was about 5 weeks along) but did not have cramping or bleeding. Panicked, I called my OB and described what had happened and they thought it was just a clot. When I finally had my first OB appointment around 9 or 10 weeks, I saw my son for the first time on the sonogram and everything was fine. Two weeks later I had another sonogram and that's when the technician noticed that there was not only our baby, but an empty sac. It seems that I was carrying twins and lost one of them. Our little boy was born as healthy and beautiful as can be right on schedule. But sometimes I wonder about the twin. It was a strange feeling learning that I probably had two babies.
