In her new toddler room, the two ladies who work there have more combined years of experience in that room than I have been alive. When DS was in the baby room there was a couple months were they went through like 3 teachers, but that is about it. Everyone has been there quite some time. It was a real bummer. My sons teacher had to leave due to knee surgery and medical issues, but others just started to move on :( we had partially chosen that center due to low turnover. DS's main teachers have been there for 7 years and working together somewhere around 12 I think. Fiona's current teachers are brand new. Her main teacher has been there 2 months (she did work somewhere else as a daycare teacher before). Then she's actually getting a brand new teacher tomorrow as a 2d (she worked at another daycare before as well). Prior to this new 2d teacher she had another new teacher that started 2 months ago and left 2 weeks ago. In her last room her main teacher had been at the school a few years and I think the 2d teachers had been around at least a year or two, but they rotated in and out so much. When LO started 2.5 years ago, the daycare had only been open a year. At least a dozen teachers and admin have left since then. The teachers in my daughter's current room have been there for 4 years and 12 years! We just found out that the teacher in the next room up is moving on, though so that is pretty disappointing.
