To me, it's being able to have enough time to fulfill my personal, work and home obligations. Time is a finite resource, so I want to spend the hours I do have either being rewarded emotionally or monetarily.

Work-life balance to me is when you leave work to go home, all things work related stay at work (barring any emergencies). And when you're at work, you get your work stuff done right with minimum re-course. And if an home emergency should arise or you want to take a day off, you can without feeling guilty.

I think work-life balance is when I'm at home and feel like I've done well at my job that day but I can now focus on my home life without feeling any guilt or obligation. Of course, there are days when I have to bring work home with me but there are no pressing and immediate deadlines that takes my peace of being at home away.

And then when I'm at work, I feel good about being at work and can do my job well, without worrying about anything at home.

After my mat leave ended and I went back to work, it took a good month/6 weeks before I felt like I had the hang of it. My transition wasn't as smooth as I had hoped.

Please share your thoughts on a good "Work-life" balance. What does it mean to you?

I don't know if I necessarily have it. I have a flexible schedule. Once a LO gets here daycare drop off and pick up will be easy. My job is stressful and clients often call me after 5 or on the weekends.
