Our 16 month old has started clawing at our faces when we try to rock her before bed. It's ended up with us cutting the snuggle session short when she does it, but it feels like a bummer that the last thing we do with her every day is say "No, no," and try to grab at her hands while she tries to poke our eyes out. We tried CIO last night again, but are having some issues since she is on a floor bed now and can open her door herself. He needs more daytime sleep but just doesn't get it at daycare. He's happy all day but when he gets home once it's dinner time he's meltdown city. </p> <p>I really don't know how to make him happier :(. Over the weekend we did his scheduled nap at noon which was just under 2 hours (normal for him lately) and then a 45 minute catnap at 4, and he did great. But with his daycare schedule the 2nd nap is just not sustainable. He keeps adding new things to his night routine and I can't even keep track of everything he wants, but he remembers so every five minutes he's crying about for some silly reason like I forgot to tuck in his feet, or sing itsy bitsy spider (along with the other 10 million songs), his garbage truck fell out of his bed, or I didn't let him say, "see you in the morning" before I closed the door. </p> <p>Finally last night I said no more, and I told him that if he cries, we're not coming in to rock him or anything, he needs to go straight to sleep.
