Tantrums, not wanting to go to daycare, do morning routine, etc. He's more whiny since coming back from seeing his grandparents for an extended period of time. This morning, the only way to avoid a meltdown, was offer donuts as an incentive to get out of bed and do our morning routine.

Face grabbing! Our 16 month old has started clawing at our faces when we try to rock her before bed. It's ended up with us cutting the snuggle session short when she does it, but it feels like a bummer that the last thing we do with her every day is say "No, no," and try to grab at her hands while she tries to poke our eyes out. Someone tell me this is just a phase!

The other weekend he got really mad at us because didn't know what he wanted.... he took both of our hands... lead us to couch told us to sit there... went and sat at his time out chair (which puts his back facing us) and sat there for about 30 minutes. I think he was trying to punish us!!

Bedtime. She is a night owl and has a bunch of energy from 5 pm-10 pm every evening. It is hard to get her wound down and is killing us. We tried CIO last night again, but are having some issues since she is on a floor bed now and can open her door herself. She has no problem with her nap, so it is extra frustrating.

Nightly meltdowns. He needs more daytime sleep but just doesn't get it at daycare. He's happy all day but when he gets home once it's dinner time he's meltdown city.

I really don't know how to make him happier :(. Over the weekend we did his scheduled nap at noon which was just under 2 hours (normal for him lately) and then a 45 minute catnap at 4, and he did great. But with his daycare schedule the 2nd nap is just not sustainable. I can't wait until he's really ready to be at one nap, not just forced to be :(.

Drawing out bedtime to take a really long time. He keeps adding new things to his night routine and I can't even keep track of everything he wants, but he remembers so every five minutes he's crying about for some silly reason like I forgot to tuck in his feet, or sing itsy bitsy spider (along with the other 10 million songs), his garbage truck fell out of his bed, or I didn't let him say, "see you in the morning" before I closed the door.

Finally last night I said no more, and I told him that if he cries, we're not coming in to rock him or anything, he needs to go straight to sleep. And it actually worked!

He's 18 months old and EVERY meal is a fight. He'll decide he doesn't want to eat and throw his food off his tray. He'll just eat a few bites and then start crying. The worst is if he sees his cup during mealtime because then all bets are off. He was throw a fit until he gets it. At least the kid loves milk and drinks a ton everyday.

boob obsession - Her hands are constantly down my shirt. pulling, pinching, grabbing.... we weaned about a month ago and while she has no interest in nursing she's obsessed with my boobs. I know its a comfort thing but its like i'm constantly at the movies with a 14 yr old boy.
