I'm the youngest but for some reason my older sister is more the baby of the family. I'm naturally a bossy take charge type of person so I'll have to wait and see how that affects my parenting style.

I'm not a mommy yet, but being an eldest child certainly made me more responsible and more of a caretaker. I started babysitting young, and then nannied. I think being an eldest had something to do with it.

We are both the oldest. My husband is a twin and is the older brother. I've never thought about how it affects our parenting, but I bet it does!

DH and I are both oldest, but honestly, the jury's still out on how that will affect our parenting. I really can't say.

My husband and I are both the youngest (of two), but we're also both much more responsible than our elder siblings, so I'm not sure there's much truth to the birth-order thing. I think it's likely that I'll be the caregiver/responsible one with our kids and my husband will be the fun one, haha.

Hubs and I are both twins, but I'm an older twin and he's a younger. I definitely grew up acting like an eldest child, much more responsible than my sister. Hubs had an interesting time of it; he was an absolute younger child for a while, but when he and his sis were teens, he became the much more responsible one and still is.

I'm an oldest so I've always been a caretaker, which I guess is a good trait to have when you're a mom. Mr. Bee is a middle (amongst 4) and a youngest (younger twin), and I think he has traits of being a middle (peacemaker), and a youngest (great at playing with charlie).

are you an oldest, middle or youngest? do you think it affects what type of parent you are or will be?
